Why are the good mylotters getting deducted or penalized?

I agree with you that a lot of things aren't right here lately. I find it hard to believe that your posts have been deleted for any reason. I've read your discussions and posts, and they are always high quality. And I won't even get into the star thing again! I am just disgusted and discouraged that MyLot does not seem to care. They do not respond to e-mails and they overlook all of the stupid nonsense discussions yet they penalize those of us who are posting the quality that they supposedly want. It's going to end up that they will be left with the garbage posts as more and more of us get fed up here. It's not right, and it's a shame that they are ruining a good site by ignoring our concerns.

Hey, I hear ya! I was pretty happy when the star thing started because I had 100/100. And I thought that this was great because it showed the hard work that I put forth. But then I upset someone or someones and in two days, I dropped from 98 to 84! I follow the rules. I post quality and not quantity. But yet I get hit with a declining reputation! This is very discouraging!

I think the main reason why some of very good quality users may still get some unfair treats at mylot were mainly due to the new features that rates us was not yet in it perfects stages. I am sure all this will be fix soon and another round of clean up will be soon to announce.

It's not fair at all. I just had someone copy and paste a part of my discussion as their answer to me. People like that should have ratings and earnings taken away-not people who show a difference of opinion.

I couldn't tell you on that. I know for myself I did really good last month and doing pretty good this month. Yes I post a lot but I try to make my comments mean something, have some depth to them and add to the discussion. I have heard some complaining about losing money. I don't know why they did. At first I thought I did but then I was told about how they are changing how the earnings are listed. Once I checked that I found out I had actually made more money. So it was confusing there for a while. I wish I could help clear up why they might have taken things away from you. Only thing I can think of is perhaps some discussions you responded to, although legitimate discussions, were made by someone who was removed due to a bunch of bad discussions and thus all their discussions were taken away from everyone. It's the only thing I can think of.

I have only noticed a couple of ocassions where my rating has fallen, and it has only been a few points at a time, so it is something that I have not been concerned about. I can understand why you would become frustrated with the people who are only interested in posting half hearted responses to generate earnings, because these people do not seem to be penalised. Personally, I am happy to simply ignore the fact and carry on using Mylot in the way that suits me.

I think it has tio do with the star rating system and how it lets everybody rate everybody else. The disgruntled see a way of getting even and pulling anyone they disagree with down a peg or two. The system definitely needs to be reformed.

sometimes, I know Im Still stuck on a few stars. I still see that a lot of people are having problems with the site. Well, What you see in your earnings are estimates I believe. I hope WE ALL WILL HAVE HUGE EARNINGS. But Its true. That we shouldn't post nonsense post or discussions, Post correct Discussion topic names not like "higgle Figgle" Posting correct is good. Give Mylot some time.

The way I have been understanding things, is that a lot of discussions were removed for various reasons, and if you posted to that discussion, you lost the money for it. Now my feeling is, that if you ansered in good faith, that you should not lose money. The person who broke the rules should cover all the losses. Of course the is my own opinion and no one ever listens to me.

your right yesterday i posted like 6 or so discussions and responded to many and only made 20 cents i have done less and made more

It's common to feel that way and jump to conclusions when it comes to things like this. Considering that there are a lot of people here, I don't think it's fair of you to generalize and state that certain groups are being penalized, while other groups aren't. If some new person comes on and gets penalized for something, we won't hear much about it, but if someone that's been on here and around for a while gets the same treatment, obviously we're going to hear about it! Because of that, it's easy to see one side of the story. I used to work with a web company that had a strong community like this and you'd be surprised with how many mistaken issues like this came up, where there weren't any issues at all.
