Has anyone out there wrote thier own book? I would love to do this. Is it that difficult to get it published etc?

when i was younger i wrote children's books and tried to get them published. it is very difficult if you go the old fashioned route. if you keep plugging, you may get success tho. the age of the internet may have some new tricks for this old dog. i don't know much about it tho.
