What do you consider as the best human invention?

Computer! We can consider computer as one of humans best invention....Computers are such a big help in many ways, don't need to mention it one by one, all of us already knew those....

THE PRINTING PRESS Gutenberg's press with its movable type, launched publishing. This universalized literacy and education. This gave impetus to the realization and sharing of new ideas, modern developments and mass media. Before, humanity's world picture is shaped by stories that have been told from generation to generation. This is not effective since you can never verify the facts. Now, when two people disagree with each other they can just look it up.

It's really hard to tell what is the best invention but it might be electricity since most useful inventions are based upon it, everything needs power to operate and it opened the door to all modern inventions including computers and the internet.

Well you have given a very good thought about the best human invention and chose "Internet" for that. Internet surely is a very good invention but I don't agree it being the best one. I think the best human invention is the invention of "Electricity" without which life would have been a hell. We couldn't have used all all other inventions and the gizmo's that we use if there was no electricity. For me it's "electricity". Now some other guy may have other ideas of an invention even better than this. Keep a good watch over the responses and let me have the conclusion too. Good Luck.

This is a tough question. I think the internet is a truely great invention but without the discovery of electricity and the invention of the computer and the telephone it wouldn't have come about. Also I wonder how much these inventions have actually brought to our lives and whether we would be better off living a simple existance like our ancestors. I personally think the wheel was probably the invention that started it all as it allowed us to travel further and to start communcations with other people and that started the need for telephones etc which then resulted in the internet.

For me, it's antibiotics. Antibiotics have saved lives over and over and over again by this point, and if they hadn't been invented, humans might still have the average lifespan of 30 years old or so! While I think the internet is grand, I don't think that it's necessarily the _best_ invention ever. : )

I would say the best invention has been the wheel. If it were not for the wheel we would still be confined to small parts of the world. If you think about all the ways a wheel is used it only make sense that it is the most important invention by man. It is used to haul farm products to market as well as every thing else. We use the wheel for transportation. The wheel has taken us into the most distant parts of the world. The wheel is used in clocks, most of our electric appliances,. The list could go on and on. .

The best invention - the wheel. The best discovery - fire.
