Are you a baby at amusement parks?

While I was starting one discussion about how opposites attract, this idea came to me as well. I am a total baby on roller coasters except on some wooden coasters. The extreme ones? Forget about it! I am like a little baby on those! I get on most other rides, but nothing too extreme. My wife, of course, loves them all, and I am sure my son will too, which makes my wife happy. I am not sure about my daughter, as she has my personality more than my wife. Are you a baby at amusement parks?

This thing lost my response.
I do not think it is a matter of being a "baby" total or other wise. For some the idea of being out of control on something like that can be a real issue. You are hurtling at great speeds and have no way of controlling that.
Yet some love the adrenial rush.
Think about it some people have a fear of heights, it is just a preference. Or personal issue, or choice.
I can take the roller coaster but doesn't mean I like or enjoy it.
On the other hand I am the only one who doesn't like to go on the roller coaster, yet those same roller coaster fans won't go on the ferris wheel with me, they don't like being "trapped" that high up.
Of course if it is your belief, it could be a past life issue.

Yes, I totally agree with you, but I am the type of person that I will ride any ride. Hey I have even been stuck on a ride and I still love to ride. I think I like to ride because it makes me feel fun and it just the experience of going up and down and all around. :)

yes I understand that there is something about the thrill of the speeds and doing something out of the normal, I think this is why amusement parks and the rides are so successful. LOL even Vegas Circus Circus has amusement park rides in it and the Stratesphere has rides on the top. Where you go up and then plunge down.

Lol, I am aa complete wuss! One time I volunteered to be a school chaperone for my daughters field trip. I had filled out the permission slip paid the money and completely forgot about in. In the meantime I started working nights. I came home from work completely exhausted an my daughter reminded me to get ready today was field trip day. I literally was a walking zombie. I didn't wake up til I felt like my stomache was coming out of my mouth. There I was flying down the steep slope of the Kracken! I was pretty much awake after that. I told the girls to go ahead and ride it again, I'll be waiting for them on the bottom.

LOL That sounds like a day that never ends. I feel bad for you, having to work and then straight to a park for some "fun" roller coasters. At least you survived, right? :D

I am a complete and uttery baby. I hate that feeling of your stomach jumping when you go down a steep bit. I don't even like it when i'm in the car, never mind on a roller coaster! I'm quite happy with speed and all that but it's just when it dips down. I refuse to go on rollercoasters, i really don't see the appeal!

I love rollar coaster rides. Not the extreme ones but the regular ones expecially the wooden coasters. I don't mind a couple of loops but I don't want too much. I don't care for spinning type rides..they tend to make me sick. I love riding through spook houses and funny houses. I used to like all of the rides when I was a kid.

I am the biggest baby in the world when it comes to amusement parks - I don't even bother going anymore I'm so bad. I'm afraid of heights so that leave out many rides, I'm afraid of the fast ones because it just doesn't seem safe going that fast on those rickitty ole' things. I do still enjoy a nice merry-go-round but how often do you see those anymore. Paying the price of admission just for the food isn't worth it so if the kids go I ask them to bring me back something :)

I am starting to slowly get to that point. I want to go, but I just don't ride that much at all. I feel like I am wasting money. Oh well, I at least get a ton of exercise walking all over the park up and down hills :D

I love roller coasters so I ride all the rides! The extreme rides and everything. Hey, I have even been stuck on a ride, but I still love to ride them. I know there is some risk to ride them, but I love the thrill of being rolled around. I have been on coasters that I have stood up, on wooden ones and so many others. I think my favorite coasters were at Disney Land in Florida, USA. They have some indoor coasters that are so cool! At least that is what I think.

I don't like roller coasters either. There's a roller coaster in Disneyland, I think it was Thunder Mountain Railroad or something like that, a kiddie rollercoaster and I was really terrified after riding that, that I wouldn't go on any other.

I don't consider myself to be a baby on rides, but there are some rides that I just can't ride because I have a heart murmur. It sometimes upsets me because I would love to go on some of the rides with my kids. I do know that there are some rides that I wouldn't ride even if I could. So I guess I am about in the middle. I just want you to know that there is nothing to be ashamed of because some of those rides are just scarey
