Definately saving some money is a good idea. One never knows when are you going to need that money. Besides nowadays there is a broad variety of financial products, some riskier than others but also more profitable, to make your money produce more money. I am talking about stocks, investment funds, deposits etc.
If you have the possibility to save some of your money then do it, you will celebrate that decission in the long run.

I agree that it is important to save money because you never know what is around the corner. People often say you should have at least 3 months salary saved in case you lose your job, but that is easier for some people than others, as is saving generally. You get taxed on your savings as well and interest rates aren't always passed on so there isn't always a good incentive to save, but I believe you should.

I do have a bank account but I don't save. Usually I spend what money that's been given to me! Yeah, I really need to save money. But first, I need to have the money to save!

It seems better keep some of money in the bank. That will not be withdraw untill we retire. It is a very hard to follow.I want to say, when we have to withdraw the money,we have to think that how we can make money for our daily life.Mybe this is a good way to force us to find additional money for us.

Yes I do. I like the idea of a delayed gratification kind of thing, coz it makes all my effort seem really worth it. And of course, am also thinking of my future.
but if you really wanted to make your money grow, I'd suggest investing it in more profitable mediums, or at least put it in a time deposit so that the interest earned will be higher. i don't know about other countries but where I live, the interest rate for savings accounts is really low.

in our modern day society i think it is harder for people to save because the demands of modern life are greater than they used to be.
We have a savings account for our son but daughter isn't that bothered if she gets money in her pocket it burns a big hole and no matter how much you tell her to save it she won't.
i guess it all depends on society as a whole, everyone has to have the new thing the new mobile phone, the latest games console, we live in a society of must have now even though we know that if we didn't buy it now prices would fall and then we would get things alot cheaper.
