Discovery of RuneScape...

I've played Runescape since mid 2002 after hearing my friends and other people in my school always talking about it. It soon became unpopular in my school although many of my friends still played it. Runescape Classic was a blast for me, mainly because it was a time when I could enjoy the game with real life friends sitting next to me in the library. Soon, people began to "get a life" and stopped playing. After a year of inactivity, I made a new account and soon joined some Runescape forums, which got me interested in the game as I could talk about it with people. Nowadays, I barely play it though. Of course, I'm still on some of those forums as I'd miss the people I met if I left.

One day a long time ago in like 2001 I was at school and i saw my friend playing on the computer. I asked what game are you playing he said runescape. I was watching for quite awhile and i decided to go home and make an account. I had so much fun and i was hooked right when i started playing it. I thanked my friend and he ended up helping me start out he gave me items and other things so I was glad he helped me so i had a clue on what to do. Also I played and I picked up one of those red halloween masks for the halloween drop. I loved it but then i ended up selling it for 200k *lol* i look back now and see that it was a bad idea.

I was in the library and there was this teeneager playing on the computer with some other friends who were in the library, too. I asked him what the game was and he told me so I check it out when I got home that night. Been playing ever since.

I found out about RuneScape Classic through a friend of mine. We've lost contact over the years, but RuneScape still remains a part of my life. I visit RuneScape related forums and write articles on the gameplay of RuneScape daily for a living along with posting on mylot. Even though I don't play Runescape anymore, it's still a great game that still can manage to suck in new players with its repetitive gameplay.

Meh, I started playing 2 years ago, somehow very addicting, and my friend gave me his account so its a lot easier than starting off by myself.

I found the game because I was talking to a friend onn aim but he was like taking forever to respond. I'm LIke what are you doing? He said he was playing a game. I then asked what game he told me runescape and gave me a link. From then on I've been hooked to the game. Like you I don't think my parents would let me pay for a game membership. That's why I do this. I have a question for you though. Now that you could pay for Ultima Online through your paypal would you ever consider going back to it?

I found out about it from someone who was playing it at the local library. I asked him what he was playing, and he set me up an account, gave me some runescape money, and showed me how to do a few things. I've been hooked ever since!

My friend had showed me the game in the summer of 2003. I was over at his house, and he let me play a bit. I got hooked, and played it for hours on end. Now I play it off and on and I have to say that sometimes I feel like I geek still playing it, but that's ok, it's fun. I became a member just 2 weeks ago, and I like it. -Joe

I found runescape via a very well known online games website. i played it for a day then got bored and when i saw a friend playing it i started again. I have just returned to runescape because i stopped due to not being able to run messenger and runescape at the same time as it lags my pc ALOT. But i got round the problem and i can now keep in touch with friends and also play runescape at the same time.

I found out about the game maybe 6 years ago... I was playing neopets and I had made a friend, he got me to start playing runescape and thats pretty much it, I had recently quit after they had gotten rid of RSC and replaced it with RS2.

Back in like 2004-2005(i forget) i saw runescape as the top game on miniclips and i played on miniclips all the time so i figured i might as well play because every #1 game was usually fun but i didnt start to play....play until i found out my friend had one then i was like "Oh, Snap a made one of those way back..." and ever since then i just loved the game.

I found mine because I was at my friends house in Pennsylvania He found this site and his mother made him an account but she made it really dumb because she thought the site might steal personal information lol.
