Twins.......do people treat you and your twin as if you were the same person????

Or do they see you as individuals who just happen to look alike?? What is your attitude to twins? Are you a twin? what is your experience of how family, friends,and others treat you? Worse still do they compare you to each other? How do you feel about that?Do you and your twin live apart from each other? Have you had any 'telepathy' type experieces/feelings about your twin? Have your lives mirrored each other or been totally similar? Are you a twin married to a twin? Or a twin with twin children yourself?? Whatever your experience ..get in touch.
I am a twin and when I was about 7 years old there were three sets of twims in my class that year. We were treated like a novelty and even the local newspaper printed an article about us all.

I have a twin sister..We really look alike but people treat us differently...Actually, we have different personalities..She's the serious type and i'm the talkative
and "joker" type...It's so nice having a twin since I never ever felt alone in my life...She's been always there for me...But the worst part is that people compares us a lot and often times I get insecure...She's really much better than me..She's smarter, prettier and more talented...

I was lucky in school as there were 5 sets of twins in my class, so my teachers were pretty good at treating us like individuals. However my family didn't as it got more difficult as I grew older.
Now that we live apart we are much more different in our opinions but we still look alike and people still know we are twins even though she has longer hair and we dress differently.

You mean we aren't? lol Yes, people treat us like we are the same, and of course we are not the same. I am a twin, and people get us confused all the time. My grandkids call her Grandma, and they think I am the aunt. My twin and I live together. I don't know what I would do without her. Have you ever considered going to the big twin get together in Ohio? I think sis and I are going this year.
