If you could have ANY job in the world what would it be?

It doesn't matter what the "training" would be or the price of learning the ropes, etc. Just imagine if you were told pick your dream job and it's yours. Do you know what you'd pick? I can honestly say... I have mine. I'm a full time mom and a part time "reader" for a publishing company!

May I say first, GREAT discussion as always hockey gal!! :) Had to think about this one. What I would love to do is combine my 3 hobbies, photography, boating and writing. I would love to take a long boat trip, write about the trip in a journal form, and take pics along the way. Then, get my book published!! (haa, one can dream here, right?) Congrats on finding your dream job!! I'm a single parent, kind of stuck with a company for almost 19 years now, but if I went somewhere else, I wouldn't get the same rate of pay, benefits or vacation time so I make the most of it. It would be nice to have a different choice, but it's kind of the story of my life, so I just roll with it. :)

Thanks classy... and don't fret... at some point in your life you too might be able to do what you've dreamed of. It's amazing how life sometimes works!

This is a fun question! I think if I could be anything I wanted to be I would say a physician. I would like to save lives and know that what I'm doing had a greater impact in a positive way on the lives of others. Cheers!

I would love to have my old job back - working as a secretary in a large brewery in Dublin. The money ahd holidays were great, as were also the perks. As this is not possible, I will settle for next best. Staying at home and looking after my husband.

Thank you for the compliment. I honestly do think being a mom is the most important job in the world! I hope you find someone that shares that too, because there is nothing better than knowing your kids are cared for and loved by the woman you love.

I would say I have my dream job. I am a stay at home mom to a wonderful 10 month old boy. I love being home with him. I've had my career, worked my way up to City Manager of a car rental manager. I ran 2 locations and had 75 employees and had full responsibility of the entire locations. Being Graysen's mom is by far the toughest thing that I have EVER done but when that little boy says momma, it is ALL worth it.

I wouldn't have thought that I would say this even five years ago, but I would definitely want some kind of a job in theatre. Mind you, at this point in my life I literally _wouldn't_ be able to do it. I'm painfully shy, so it's out of the question. I also don't think that I have the right look to play very many particular parts in plays. (I still look around for ones that I think I might be able to fit, though, lol!) The reason is, I've found that I love theatre so much. I spend almost all of my extra income on going to live theatre. I don't know anyone else my age (or hardly anyone) who does this who isn't actually in theatre. I thought that I was the odd one out, but I think that I'm really not, since I've realized how much I would *love* to act if I could, and therefore I would also be a theatre person if I could.

How ironic of you... someone as shy as you are, yet longing for being a part of the theater - a very high profile position where everyone watches!! I think it's a step in your coming out of your shell shywolf!!! LOL I love theater too. Hey, think about helping out at the local theater... props, costumes, tickets, etc. It would be a great way to be a part but not have to be seen.

I would love to be a Judge in criminal court. I am so tired of the injustice and hearing about so many Judges who are out of touch with society that make very poor decisions that hurts the poor victims of crimes.

Maybe we'd finally see some justice served! I'm often appalled at the final outcomes of many trials too.

I would love to be a medical illustrator or a botanical illustrator, but then again your part time job sounds terrific, how did you get started in that? Do tell, or send me a message.

I started doing it for a company as a free thing just to receive some books. It eventually ended up working into a paying job too.

My dream job would definitely be to be a mom to my three kids and manage web sites. I'm working on pursuing this goal. It's so much easier to watch your kids when you work from home.

I could not agree more! And I think I'm lucky because while my kids are all teens, I think NOW is the time they REALLY need my guidance. It was smooth as butter when they were younger... now that they're teens they need my watchful eye around for sure! Good luck finding your goal!

My dream job would be to be a full time stay at home mom and get paid a lot for it. That would be great. I would also like a job that works with kids but to get paid a lot for it too. It seems like the most rewarding jobs are the ones that pay nothing or close to nothing.

I would be a stay at home freelance writer and novelist. I would LOVE the lifestyle of staying up all night writing if I wanted to, not worrying that lack of sleep would keep me from getting to the "day job" that pays the bills on time.

I would love to have a job in sports. I'm hoping to get my masters degree in sports management so that is looking like a possibility. I'd be happy with pretty much any job but I'd love to have some sort of front office job. I'm also looking into journalism so I could possibly be a sports writer because I've been told I'm pretty good at that. But in the end, anything in any sport would do for me.

I would like to have my own home-based business and stay at home with the kids. I really don't know what type of work I would be doing, something profitable and easy to do.
