I only ask this question because, I myself do not have any sort of cable T.V at all. Before I moved in with my soon to be wife I had a lot of channels, but now; about 4 months later, I do not miss cable at all, I read a lot more too and go for more bike rides and walks. I can live with out cable? Can you?

Hi grayangel
When I was a teenager I used to spend lot of time watching cartoon on TV, it was a sort of psychological dependency. Now it's different and I say that I can live without TV because of many reasons: first of all I have a job and so I don't have too much spare time. I prefer spending my spare time taking my dog for a walk in the green enjoying wonderful nature.

I see what you mean, I hear about people watching like 6 hours day! I always wondered how people did not get bored with it? I love to watch movies, but all that seem to be coming out is squeals and remakes! I also watch a lot of cartoon when I was younger.

I have cable becasue if I didn't, I wouldn't have TV reception. So, I just get the very basic one for the lease amount of money. There's a reception problem where I live, so just about everyone has to do it. Hey, I wonder if the cable company made it that way so they could sell to more customers? I just thought of that. What do you think?

If you notice, the Mexican stations come in clearer? Well that is because they do not have regulations. All American channels have regulations and thus do not come in very well.

I definately can. I can live even without the computer. I don't need these stuff. Two things I can't live without: my girlfriend and books. I even sacrifice music - her voice is my music. Cable is not such a tempting thing anymore.

I had cable years ago and mostly watched movies. I can rent them easily now, so I don't need to bother with cable. I get about eight or nine broadcast channels, and there's hardly anything worth watching. I spend more time on the internet than I do watching tv.

I am down to 4 tv channels. I haven't had cable in six years. I miss it, but that is what dvds are for.

I think I can. I don't watch TV a lot anyway and it's a good way to save money. Most of my favourite channels are available online anyway.

Not only can I live without cable...I don't even own a television set. There isn't enough good programming on TV to merit spending all that money on it. I prefer to read books or do something creative, or hang out with a friend. If I ever do purchase a TV, it won't be for cable- it'll be for playing video games.
