How big is your house? How many rooms and people?

My house is about 800 square feet or 75 metres squared. My husband, child and myself live in it. We have 2 bedrooms and one shower room, a kitchen and sitting room. I think that this is just about enough space for 2 adults and a child - with little room to spare. If we have another child we will need to extend or move. Not complaining mind you, very large families have existed in houses the same size as it. How big is your house? Would you like a bigger house? How many people live in it.

Crappy small studio apartment for 2 people no room for anything. Rent for studios apartments start at $1,000.00 a month. Your not allowed to have a dishwasher or washing machine in any of the apartments, can't even have pets of any kind. I am working on getting out of here. Need to leave this State and go south, maybe then I can get a house.

That is expensive, I believe houses have advantages over apartments also.

Our house has a basement, a main floor and an upstairs. We have 7 rooms and there are now just two of us as our son moved out just three weeks ago. My office is in my home and my son works nights and I had to spend my days tip toeing around so that he would get enough sleep. But now I can jump up and down and talk really loud to myself. :) Our house is oil heated but we are going to change that and when we do the basement will be re-finished and more liveable, rigth now the basement is really just used to store the stuff we haven't yet unpacked since buying this place.

Mine is 550 Sq.ft. One bedroom, one hall, one kichen, small balcony and yes bathrooom/toilet also there. I am living with my brother. I think this enough for 2 adults. Even we manage 16 other on a party.

My home is 860 square feet of living space, one bathroom, one bedroom, kitchen, dining room and living room. There are 4 people who live here, myself and my husband and my two teenage children. While my husband and I occupy the one bedroom, one child sleeps in the dining room and one in the living room (he has the television so he doesn't complain!). Plus 3 cats and a dog! It is absolutely not the ideal living arrangement, but futons fold up and we're happy to share time together so the cramped quarters isn't all that bad. Had we succeded better in life, perhaps we'd have a bigger home where everyone had their own room, but sometimes what we see for our life and what we live don't always parallel. Look at it this way, it keeps the cost of utilities and heating down.

I think size is just a meaningless number. As long as you feel that your home is big enough for your family, it's fine.

We live in a Condominium style flat. its 300+ square meters. 3 rooms + 1 storage/walk in closet style room, 3 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, dining and living, hallway, and terrace/balcony. 2 adults, 1 kid, 1 infant and 1 helper. I really am not a fanatic of big homes. I find it somewhat sad to live in a huge house if there's only few of you who lives in it.

I need and want a bigger house we are currently living in a very small place, it is two bedrooms one bath, a hall then the kitchen and livingroom are made together. We do not have a lot in here so that helps, this place is about thirty five feet long and maybe ten feet wide (it is a very very small older trailer that we are staying in just until we can get moved) Oh, I almost forgot we have seven people in here, We were in a house that was about 1200 square feet with one bathroom. we had 11 people there as I had relatives that were staying with me, And no I do not have a lot of furniture most of us just sleep on the floor, Hopefully we will get to move one of these days soon, just not sure when, The key to living in a small place with a lot of people is to be very organized and very clean, otherwise it becomes a major safety issue, So we keep things neat and orderly and don't leave things sittng out, everything has a home or we get rid of it,

Our house is approximatly 1400 square feet. It's a decent size since it has a front room, dining room, kitchen and family room. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen though is very tiny and unfortunatly the rooms weren't really laid out well so even though they are decent sized trying to put anything in the family or front room is difficult. All the rooms are open into each other with no real wall between them, I mean the front, dining and family room. I'd love to redisn some of the house to make things lay right.

I live with 2 cats in a 2,000-square-foot house that was built circa 1930. It has real wood paneling and several neat architectural "goodies," such as a built-in bookshelf and a nice fireplace. There's a large combination kitchen/dinning room, big living room with a high vaulted ceiling, a loft off the living room that I use as a spare bedroom, an office, laundry room, 2 bathrooms, the large guest bedroom and the master bedroom, a large back patio, a basement workshop and another workshop under the kitchen, and a two-car carport.

My house is 240 square yards, its a 2 story building situated in the heart of the Karachi city. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 attached washrooms, the kitchen, the drawing room and the TV lounge. The 1st floor has a bedroom and an attached washroom, the 2nd floor has 3 rooms and store room plus an attached wash room. Altogether there are 9 members of my family (well 13 if you include our cats and dog :))

Over the many years of my life, I have lived in a variety of enviornments. Once I had a 800 square-foot apartment with two bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Then there was the 1200 suare-foot mobile home, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. And let's not forget the crappy 2-story farmhouse with 4 bedrooms and only 1 bathroom for a family of 6 at the time. Those were all rentals. Finally, the 6 of us moved into the first home we bought. It is wonderful. 10 acres of land, double-wide modular home with 4 large bedrooms, 2 full baths and 1 half bath, living room, family room, huge kitchen, dining room and a utility room. We have added a deck and a patio on the back of the house. Now we have even more room because the two older kids have moved out. So one of the bedrooms has been made into a craft room. Someday we will build the pole barn, garage, enlarge the porch on the front of the house and install a basement. Then we will have plenty of room for those times when the kids and grandkids come to visit for the holidays. Then again, they could always pitch a tent out back if they want.

I'm not sure how big our apartment we are renting is but it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge area and dining area as well. There is only three of us and we only use one part of the apartment. Definitely wasting money living in this place so we are looking to move soon.
