Tax refund money

Not sure how much we will get back, but we owe money to the IRS from last year since I did our taxes and did it wrong. LOL So, most of it will go there, but you know I expect a little more too so depending on how much more we get back, I will probably pay off another bill. Trying to get debt free.

We bought a new set of bedroom furniture when it was on clearance at the end of the year. We put it on our credit card and will be paying it off when we get the tax refund, most likely later this week. We used our credit card to get it because we have low interest on it and got 5% back on it due to a special promotion they were running. The total was around $1300 and the interest we paid for the one month that it was on there was much less than what we received as cash back. When we bought it, we knew we would be getting back more than enough from taxes to pay for it. As for the rest of the money, I think we will be mostly using it to pay off a set of Encyclopedias we bought a while back that we are financing. The rest of the tax return will be used for whatever we want so we can shop without feeling guilty!
