Yes, I most definitely make it a habit to wash my hands on a regular basis! Especially when I am ready to eat. As I know I touch quite a few things when I am serving the food on to dishes & the people around the table. I also try to make it a habit to make everyone wash there hands before dinner time as well. As I find bacteria does end up sticking around when a person doesn't make it a habit to wash there hands frequently.
I also do wash my hands while I am handling food as well. It doesn't matter what food I may have handled I think it is very important for one to wash there hands. I know that if let's say I had handled meat.. As soon as I put it in the skillet I will throw the meat package away.. I will then wash my hands so that I know when I am handling the next food I am wanting to prepare that.. My hands are clean.
Also after I had finished cutting things let's say on a cutting board, I will automatically wash the cutting board to. After every use instead of using it for the next item I have to cut or dice up. I find it disgusting when people won't wash or sterilize there cutting boards after cutting raw meat, among other things up. It's just as bad as when I see people just eat dinner without washing up before hand as well.
I guess you could call me some-what of a germaphobe. I have a problem with people in general who don't wash there hands while they are handling foods, but also when they are serving the food. And getting ready to sit down to have dinner. I think it only shows how good of manners a person has when they wash there hands before sitting down to eat. I also have made it quite a habit to do this as well so it just comes naturally I guess you could say. I was taught to wash my hands before eating as well, so I think that still stays with me to this very day.
In conclusion.. I think it's important that everyone washes there hands before sitting down to eat either by themselves, or with there family or even company for that matter. I've actually witnessed people going outside & playing with there dog who may have been muddy.. And then they will come on in when dinner is ready & then eat there foods with there hands without even washing them before hand. I just find that not only makes me cringe, but I find it rather disgusting at the same time to.
I know that personally having to think about what was on my hands before hand when I hadn't washed them would make me lose my appetite within seconds. So I make it a habit to wash my hands frequently! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

i can't start my meals before washing my hand as we are using our hand to eat for most of our food here. In my country, we were been taught to wash or clean our hands before touching any food. But for certain food which not require us to touch by hand, i will use a spoon or fork,..then i sometime just eat without washing my hands.

Honestly, I only wash my hands sometimes before I eat. I usually eat with the proper utensils. And besides, I always keep my hands clean. =)
