James is my favorite vocalist, but Dave's still awesome nonetheless. I think a cool idea would be a concert with Metallica and Megadeth headlining together (and maybe the Metallica/Megadeth feud would end). I also think it'd be interesting to hear them cover each other's songs, although some of them just wouldn't work with the othe vocalist (Hetfield on A Tout le Monde? Mustaine singing Blackened?).

I like James Hetfield more over Dave Mustaine, don't get me wrong this two are definitely great vocalist and I also like Megadeth but for Hetfield's voice has a more gritty atmosphere and more anger. Thus everytime I listen to a Metallica tune I can't help but head bang to it. \m/

Well yeah back when I was in school, me and my friends jammed together in our garage during the weekends and just play anything from Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Tool, Pantera you know those kinda stuffs. But I don't sing a lot nowadays since I have work and a family to attend to. So I'm just singing in tha bathroom, hehehe;)

of course absolutely!! hetfield has a great chemistry to ulrich as compared to mustaine and look what they have had when they joined hetfield they are a rock icon now not unlike to mustaine's Megadeth they had not created a great impact on metal scene..

I rate them about equal, but if they ever got into a fight, I would love to separate them!! :)

I think the two are not in a position to replace either one. When Mustaine was in Metallica, he was not singing. Also, Hetfield does not play lead parts. So if you remove Hetfield and put Mustaine back in, Mustaine would be singing and playing lead parts as well. The problem with this setup is that Metallica songs are not built to have two lead players playing at the same time unlike most Megadeth songs. Also, Metallica songs are not good for Mustaine's type of voice. In conclusion, those two are better off staying in thier own respective bands. :)

well i dont think it is fair to compare these two icons.both of them have different styles.i think with respect to metallica and the sound they create i think James's voice is more suitable. The sppe riffs which megadeth creates ,there Dave's voice would fit in perfectly. They are both equally great bands who create some awesome music.Rock on.

Yeah, I think, in another opinion, you mean that voice character of Hetfield is the best for Metallica, and voice character of Mustaine is the best for Megadeth

i think JAMES is ok on METALLICA. if MuSTAINe is on METALLICA i think its name whould be MEGADETH. but mustaine is more tellented than james in both guitar and vocal area. but MUSTAINE is not perfect for METALLICA. JAMES is al right on METALLICA and MUSTAINE is alright on MEGADETH
