The following story is about Americans (non Muslim) neighbors saving a Muslim neighbor and his family (including three children) from a burning house. Here's a small quote from that article "I can't put the words together to thank them" said Abdel Kader, "we are all so lucky" he said, "People who I never saw before came out to help""
It would be very simplistic to lump all Americans as racists, and xenophobic, and anti-Muslim. Despite the unbelievable media onslaught on Muslims and Islam, and despite a well organised campaign of hatred by certain segments of American society, the American people, as demonstrated in that story from the article, are very decent and fair people. I hope love between peoples can solve many of troubles that the were started by a leadership of warmongers in the USA.

You are right American people are not brainwashed at all and we do not hate or even dislike muslims. I have met very few people in the US that hate anyone, the ones who do Hate are Racist people and they hate everyone equally! I swear parts of my own family are racist and some friends of mine too. I try to tell them to understand other people and learn about them some of them listen to me and look to me for advice. I hope too that we can becaome friends our 2 nations! Our beliefs are not so far from each other, our childrens eyes touch us the same yes? Than we can be friends

That is very true. It's intollerant people that hate. I think a psychologist could come up with a better explained version than mine, but I believe that those who hate people with pure ignorance are only like this because they are unsatisfied with themselves.
Also I notice it's the older generations that tend to have more hate. Maybe because they are less exposed to different types of people because back in the days people who were different wern't so accepted in society. We now have many more mixed race schools, gay people are 'out of the closet'. I think it's important to your own happiness to embrace people without any prejudice.

I agree with you. Not being American I wouldn't know for certain, but from speaking to Americans on here and other places on the net, it is very clear that the Islamophobes are the minority, just as the homophobes are a minority, sexists etc.
It is people who believe they are the elite. You can find them in every society

why would americans want to be brainwashed into hating muslims? just because there are muslims who are involved in terrorist activities, it doesn't mean that all muslims are bad, or all muslims are terrorists, that nobody should like them. it's not fair to think that way, right? also i believe that we shouldn't discriminate someone because of their religion. i believe all religion teaches their followers to do good, not bad things. i hope people can understand each other better and get along with people of all races and religion .

I agree with you,
I don't think all Americans are brainwashed to hate Muslims.
But there are some those mix Islam and worst politics happenings. Also the US based news and channels are usually publishing news with a twist towards Muslim community.
Also Muslims do no hate Americans.
