My husband proposed to me in front of both of our families. We are very family oriented. We went out to brunch with both sets of families and I never saw it coming. They brought out a plate with a flower on it for dessert. On the stem of the flower was the ring. I've also heard of people tying the ring to the dog or cat collar which I think is cute if you are an animal person. My friends have also been proposed to when they went on vacation together on the beach. I think that's really romantic. I've also heard of a scavenger hunt which I think is a lot of fun.

My husband proposed to me one night when he brought me home from work. I thought he was going to just kiss me good night but instead he said... "If you see yourself growing old with me, please say YES." No romantic dinner or candlelight. I think the most romantic way of proposing is during the half-time of a ball game. This not only makes you proud of prophecing your love in front of millions on camera but making your loved one really feel special!

It depends on the person. Some people would love a public proposal like in the middle of a restaurant or on the scoreboard of a sports game. Some people would like something personal, just the two of you, some peole would like a proposal in front of their family. You have do what would mean the most to them.
