Yes, several times but the one that springs to mind was an old lady with her wheelly trolley full of shopping walking alone the edge of the road in the pouring rain. We had been swimming and were on our way home, she had her hood pulled round her face and it was flapping round her legs soaked in the wind. I had to turn the car round, go back past her, turn round again to get to her. My car boot wasn't big enough for her shopping trolley so I had to post it between my boys (I have a ford KA = tiny). She sat in the front cold wet and breathless, bless her and I took her the 3 miles to the next village, it was on my way home anyway. She walked into town every Saturday morning and she was about 80. She would not let me take her to her home, even with 2 kids in the back she must have been afraid of letting me know where she lived. I felt sad for her, and a bit uncomfortable. We went to swimming lessons at the same time for months but I never saw her again.

You're a nice man. OThers will just ignore the lady, pretending they've never seen her. Thanks for the response. I hope you meet her again. At least you will know she's alive and you've saved a life. Thank you for the response

Yes, I've helped alot of strangers. I was on vacation visiting a friend in another state back in November. I saw a very stressed out young mother with three children all under 2. She had infant twins and a todler. She was holding the toddler and trying to push a two umbrulla stollers that were taped together. When I went in the store I had held the door for them, that's how I noticed them. When I was leaving the store they were all sitting on a bench to the side of the store and the woman looked like she was crying. I was waiting for my friend so I walked over and asked what was wrong and could I help. She said she needed tape because the strollers wouldn't stay together and she needed to walk a half mile home with three kids and groceries, and could I go in the store and see if they had tape she could use. I said ok wait right here. I went back into the store, WalMart and bought her a double stroller with a seat in the back for the todler and groceries. I was in and out in 10 minutes. She was so happy she was crying even more. She said she had gotten a brand new stroller for a shower gift and it was stolen from her yard. I felt so good to be able to do that. It was even on sale...lol

a lot of people don't realize that the simple stuff are the stuff that god loves I think your blessings increases by 10 rich people only give what they have to spare and to avoid heavy taxes that was from the heart who knows maybe those kids will grow up and help you are your kids the world is funny like that

Well yes. I always feel good whenever I got the chance of extending a helping hand to a stranger. There's too many to mention like helping an elderly cross the road, giving up my seat to an elderly or a pregnant or a lady. Helping a stranger get on the jeep/bus, etc. I think it's human nature to help a fellow in need (sometimes without asking/hoping for something in return). In my line of work, there are many people who contact us, approach us and seek for our assistance. Even if its not in our line of duty we still do our best to provide what's needed. Sometimes they give something in return but a simple 'thank you' is a very welcome reward for me. But if its financial assistance, well, I guess I can politely say 'pass?' hehehe :)

I have often given food to people holding "Will work for food" signs. Only one person ever got nasty about it...he must've wanted money for booze or something. Anyway, one time really sticks out in my mind. We were taking our son to his mother one weekend and passed an old man standing on the corner of 13 & 22 in the snow holding that very sign I mentioned above. His face and hands looked sun-worn, like he had worked hard outside for years and years. We stopped at the same convenience store we always did to wait for our boy's mom to pick him up. This time we actually went in. We purchased a submarine sandwich and a quart of whole milk. The man was still there when we got back to 13 & 22. There were nicer cars than the old beatup van we were driving then sitting at all 4 corners of that stop. Behind us, everywhere. Mark got out to give the man the sandwich & milk. I could hear that man blessing him up and down. He didn't want a ride but God bless us anyway. I get tears in my eyes every time I think about the fact that someone who has worked hard all their lives has to stand in the snow and beg. It really bothers me that the worthless and the non-taxpaying illegals get benefits as well as jobs when others willing to work can't get jobs, much less food and a roof over their heads.

Yes many times, yesterday was the most recent. 2 women came to my door last night, they had just purchased a trac phone and needed to use a land line phone to activate it. It was close to 15 degrees farenheight and they said they had walked to quite a few houses and everyone else said no. I did my good deed for the day. I let them use the phone and warm up a bit.

One day my husband and I were driving along and came to a section where the council was fixing the road. We saw an old lady in an electric wheel chair bogged in part of the road that they had dug up. So we pulled over and helped her get her wheelchair out. That made us feel good because we helped. We were disgusted with the council workers because they saw this old lady was stuck and none of them came over to help her. It was their fault that she was stuck and they just stood there watching her trying to get out. I am just glad that we came along to help.

I have. I helped a girl my age who didnt know the city and had to go to the hospital, since she had injured her foot and had other issues as well. I told her how and where to go, and tried to suggest places where she would sleep that night. And most important (i think) i listened to her story...in 20 minutes i think she told me all her life...and i think she felt better so i felt well really...it's good to know that at least you have made another person feel better for a bit.

Yes I was outside a grocery store and a man asked me for a dollar I said let me look. I was looking in my purse when he explained to another person what it was for. He needed to by his newborn daughter food as they were stuck in Arizona with no money and a broken down car, I took him to the store and bought food and diapers for the baby! I love the way that felt! so good gods work truly

Yes, several times. Just simple things like helping someone onto a bus with a baby or picking up something an old person has dropped. I'm sure there are lots of people who also do these things automatically and don't really think anything of it.
