Many times I have seen the power of Jesus but most recently was yesterday. It's kinda a long story but briefly yesterday (Monday) at 11 a.m. a demonstration with media coverage and all was planned at our local Christian University.
Sunday the elderly lady I've been helping the last week started praying there would be no problems as the demonstrators were against the university leaders and their decision on a certain matter.
She told me she was going to pray it would snow, not unusual in this area of the country this time of year but she said no it was going to snow enough so the demonstrators wouldn't want to stand out in the weather.
Well, snow started very early and as the morning went on it came down harder and harder. By 11:00 it was the heaviest and only 15-20 people showed up, the media didn't show at all. At 12 noon the snow just stopped! We were Praising God all afternoon.
Have you ever prayed for something and been blessed to see it answered right in front of your eyes? Was it something you prayed for yourself or for someone else? Did you make sure to thank Jesus when it was answered?
Isa 58:9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, "Here I am!" Get rid of that yoke. Don't point your finger and say wicked things.

OH yes I have had many prayers answered. Here are just a few - my current apartment fell into our laps at a reasonable price (owner gave us a large discount); my son was born 3 months early and only spent 7 weeks in the NICU never needing to be intubated since he breathe on his own since birth ... so so many and I praise Jesus all the time for them.
My favorite John 14;14 If you ask anything of me in my name I WILL do it!

Amen indeed! I look at my son all the time and cry thanking God all the while for blessing me with him. He is special needs (learning to walk and talk now at over 2 1/2).

Thank you for posting this. It's wonderful. Yes, I have seen Jesus answer many prayers. At present, my husband lost his job a month ago. So many prayers have been answered and met as far as employment, and food and bills. We had no income, but God provided money and food for us in His ways. Praise the name of our Lord Jesus and the Father.

Yes, sometimes we need a little reminder of all He has done for us. What a blessing to have our needs provided. I will keep your family in my prayers that your husband will find employment soon.

Yes I have seen the power of Jesus in my life many times and I am so thankful that he has blessed me and with me. Yes I have in fact it was quite funny actually we were travelling on a bus trip it was around 400 miles from home and the people of the area needed rain badly as all their crops were drying up anyway we were just out of the township when I prayed in the bus and before the bus actually stopped the people looked out and could not believe it the rain started to come down they were screaming with delight and they all knew that I had prayed, for the rain they just could not believe what they were seeing I told them that is the power of our Lord, they were so happy even that they had to stand in the rain while they received their suitcases from the bus.

Me myself noticed that God answered our Prayers... I have so many experiences in life that I felt very down, discourage of life here because of facing obstables and heavy burdens too. Even though i carry those burdens, but in times before im going to sleep at night, I talked to JESUS first tell Him of my worries and problem with in my life... But for sure I know God never ignored what we whispered to Him, because when times that I'm in peak of difficulties and hardship, thats the time their blessings come and it was so unexpected. Only its magic that theres someone might be His instrument that can extend a helping Hand to you.... This is proven to me many times. We need only a contant communication to GOD... And we Give Thanks too for Him for whatever blessings we received here... We always remember that WE are nothing if without the cares of GOD.....!

yes i have had many prayers answered,so many i can hardly think of them all.I do believe it snowed because your friend prayed.I remember one time i had gone to church and i was feeling bad but i went anyway.we were all standing and the church was singing a hyam, and i just got so ill i could hardly stand, and i just closed my eyes and ask God to please touch me because i was so suddenly sick..I felt a warm feeling come over me and i felt his presence ,like he was standing next to me,and that warm feeling just went all over my body and instantly i felt wonderful,i knew that he touched me...Another time my Mother was in the hospital, she was in a coma and they said she was dying andshe was on a resperator..I was by her bedside and i prayed and begged God not to take my mother,i could not bear to lose her, a peace came over me,and she came awake about an hour later, the doctors said she as a miracle because she had a fatal disease, but i knew God had answered my prayer. My mother lived for 15 years later to the age of 88 years.I know God answers prayers.he has been a wonderful friend to me and i love him,he has been with me many times in my darkest hours..

Praise the Lord, what a blessing that you were able to have your mother with you for so many more years. We are so blessed to have a father who loves us as ours does and is there for us always.

Thank you so much for posting this. We all need to reminded that God is alive and hears all of our prayers. He does work mircles today - not just in Bible Times. He listens to each and every one of us. Another example of answered prayer: Our children's pastor's wife had such terrible back pain that she was admitted into the hospital for morphine to help control the pain. Her husband and friend had to literally pull her off the hosiptal bed when it was time to go. Last Sunday she was at the Alter andpeople gathered around her and prayed for her healing. She felt her back get very warm to almost HOT!! The pain has since gone away! Praise the Lord! She is now able to lift her youngest child and also go back to work.

Amen, I think many times why people think that God didn't answer their prayers is because God didn't give them the answer they were looking for - so many times when I've prayed I've realized that God had better plans for me.

From childhood I've had severe hayfever; my mom took me to get the shots one summer to help alleviate the symptoms and it worked a bit but was too expensive to continue...
When I became a young woman and married, my husband and I gave our hearts to Jesus and went to church a great deal. I had learned how to really pray. I knew that miracles happened to other people but as of yet, hadn't had to ask for one.
Well, one day I was out in back yard hanging clothes; the landlord had recently mowed the grass. I started pinning up the clothes. My hayfever kicked in and got so bad that I couldn't breathe or see; and yet I was sneezing uncontrollably...
I got so frustrated and decided that I was going to pray. Outloud (not caring if anyone else heard me) I proclaimed, "Satan, you're a liar. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ and command you to leave me alone. I claim the healing blood and power of Jesus and accept my healing in his name."
Well, I continued to hang clothes even though I couldn't see and went along like nothing had happened. Within mins. or could have been seconds, I can't remember it was so long ago, I realized that I could see and breathe; I had stopped sneezing. Everything..!
I absolutely could not believe it. I praised and thanked Him all, telling everyone.
To this day I have not had a single symptom of the hayfever and I still thank Him when I come in contact with things that used to trigger it...I believe in miracles for sure..!

There are a lot of things that God really answered my prayers. One testimonial was my wedding last december 2006. i was overwhelmed because God gave us all the graces during the wedding preps down to the wedding day itself. God is really faithful to all his promises that's why I am holding on with all my prayers because I belive, though he hasnt answer my prayers now, but in his right time, he will answers all of those and more than I am expecting to also... Let's remain faithful to him and believe that he will give the desires of our hearts.

I have had so many answered prayers and yes I amke sure I give thanks and Praise to God even for those that are still unanswered..God has been so faithful in my life. One thing I am always thankful for was when we're planning about our wedding, mu husband is a full time church worker and as we all know they don't receive much,so money was our biggest problem then, but 5 months before the wedding God gave us opportunity to earn the money just exactly what we need for our wedding! God is really great!

Oh yes i've had so many experiences with answered prayers from the Lord that it's hard to choose which one to tell u about. The most recent one was yesterday, i was in a bind because all of a sudden my child's teachers decided on an activity for today where we are to dress up our kids in red (it being valentines day today). My dilemna was i can't find a thing for her to wear since most were old already and so i had to go out and buy one. But since i work the graveyard shift and hadn't been able to sleep upon getting home i was kinda dizzy. So i prayed Lord it's a small thing. Pls help me find something for my child at home. And guess what i suddenly checked the closet and there was the still gift wrapped red blouse my elder sister gave her. God is so good and i just love praising Him.

Yet another example of God showing us even the little things are important to Him how could anyone not glory in having such and attentive Father.
I'm afraid it's nearing my bedtime and I need to depart from mylot for the evening so can't comment on all the response above as much as I would like to but I want to say this to each and every one who has shared an answered prayer here - thank you. You have played a big part in helping others even without knowing them, their situation, or their beliefs. My prayer this evening is that someone who doesn't know Jesus Christ as their Savior will read these answered prayers and realize the power that God has and find their way to Him.

As funny as it may sound, one thing that reminds me about what can happen is the one day when we were in our van. Our one van is an older van, and the transmission was slipping at every start and stop. It was horrible and we didn't think we would make it home! I started praying and it stopped doing it. I prayed at every stop and start and it just stopped! Now, the one time I didn't, it slipped. I kinda chuckled and told my wife what was happening, and she started praying as well. Needless to say, after we both started praying, it stopped the whole way home. Coincidence? Maybe, but doubtful! It was a truly amazing event in my mind. Remember, where two or more are in prayer, He is there. I am glad your prayers were answered and the snow stopped, but the snow is coming down here right now! Take care :D

This is a wonderful example of how no prayer is too big or too small for God to hear. No I do not believe it coincidence at all but if it makes people more comfortable to believe that I will not judge them.
Been snowing here for several hours and it's really really bad now. Speed limit in front of my house is 35 but looks to me like more are going closer to 15 or 20. And winding, will be shoveling tomorrow :(

Im not one that you would call a christian. But i believe he is there and i trust he keeps me safe. I had a turnpoint just recently visiting my dad. He is the kind of man that is hard to live with and - well it is a too long story.
But he told me that he needed help. And he asked God for an angel for each task. The very next day there were five swans on the lake near his house. There havent been swans there before. From time to time they would return, sometimes maybe only two of them, but dad would know, ok, now im getting help on this issue here. It was amazing.
From my own life i want to tell this:
I was pregnant with my fourth child when i was in UL and the pictures inside my tummy told the doctor we would have a girl. I have a girl from before, one i have struggled hard with all her life because we didnt bond - that is a long story too. Anyways. I feared another girl. I feared giving birth to her to feel nothing as she was put on my tummy. Not again, please God not again.
He knows how we have struggled, so i started praying. Almost every night i would ask Him to give me a child like He wanted it to be. I was totally safe then, i trusted He would do what was best for us, and the new baby.
The day of the birth emerged, and we had even given the new baby her name. And my daughter was so happy - Im getting a baby sister!
I wont forget the seconds after the baby was born the rest of my life. The father totally silent, then shouting: Its a boy! We got a boy!
My very first thought, oh no, what am i to tell my daughter now? And then getting the baby up on my tummy and love him, love him with all my heart.
My daughter didnt accept him the first days. She constantly talked about him as my sister. But after a while it was ok. It is four years since then. And they all love eachother.
I know UL pictures arent perfect. But i think the doc saw pretty well as he said: If it was a boy i would told you 100% sure.

I see God moving daily in my life. I remeber a few years back a lady at our chuch had a crooked neck. She got prayed for that God would strighten out her neck and we have seen it straighten right up.
This lady's neck was like that ever since I have known her and I have known her for years. That was awesome to see.

I do sometimes pray for myself but I've found I find the greatest rewards in praying for others, particularly for those in the world who have turned their backs on God and don't realize that God will answer their prayers.

I certainly have seen prayer answered many many times over the years as I belonged to a prayer group who prayed and fasted once a month and we also had a phone line prayer request. I have had in my own life experienced healing prayer for neumorus operations and have also had a few visions God has given to me before going into Theatre which I had held dearly to my heart. Keep up the good work and may God Bless you and yours in his work.
