Trouble attracting responses

Maybe it's just a numbers game, but despite covering what I feel are interesting and informational topics, I have ahd a devil of a time attracting any responses. At the same time I note that some of the more lame discussions gain the most responses. Are people really that petty and narrow-minded?

You seems to be new here. You will soon get many responses I hope. But I agree with you, sometime its just like a lottery, people just reply for some not so interesting topics

Yes, there seems to be an element of pure chance in all this. But for sure I am having a lot of fun. Thanks for your respinse!

I find that unless you make the talking point something that you know a lot of people will be against, you don't get loads of responses unless its a totally lame question. I think people just don't want to think about some of the bigger issues and thats why they are happier to tell people what their favourite colour is rather than their opinion on iraq.

This is exactly what I have seen, that much bandwidth is dedicated toward minutia, but that is not really hat bad since you get to know the peoples' personalities.

Don't get disapointed, it takes sometime for everyone. Keep up the good quality posting. From my experience I can say that having some good friends is a great help to get responses. But you should pick good quality friend. Go to some good quality discussions and make a good response which will show your ability and make a friend request to them. After that not only the will accept you as a friend but will come to your discussions to make responses.

Maybe this is both bad and good, but the "new responses" page really moves along quickly! That means that a ton of people are online any given second, but rough if you're just trying to attract some attention!
