Lucky 13. Today is my RE-BIRTHday!!

Lucky 13 at least for me it is. One year ago today I came home from the rehabilitation nursing home able to walk again, four months after my accident, and able to take of myself. I had broken my back in two places and was told I would never walk again.
I wanted to share this wonderful day with you so that any of you suffering a disability to NEVER give up...with faith in your higher power, to me it is the Lord God, and determination. I drive again, also an iffy prognosis, and from the first day completely self sufficient. Isn't life wonderful! Have a great day everyone.
Remember no matter what obstacles you face in life...where there's life there's hope!

Happy Re-Birthday, glad your up and about.
Today is similar for me. It was February 2004, Friday the 13th I had my first heart attack and it was in-operable so I was sent home without being fixed.
Today is now three years and am glad to be here.
I am still pretty much useless in a lot of areas now but I am alive and I can still do about 4 hours of my online business a day. When I had my heart attack I could do nothing for months and didn't expect to wake up the next day, but here I am and happy to.

I wish you a very happy RE-BIRTHDAY! I'm so glad to hear that you are walking, driving and able to take care of yourself after such a horrible thing as a broken back. You are indeed right when you say "where there's life, there's hope". I'm glad to hear you never gave up, had faith and determination to get to this point. May you have many more happy re-birthdays in the future.
Now that you reminded me it's the 13th, I have to send my future grandson-in-law an e-card for his birthday today. I can't believe I forgot to send one by snail mail.

There is so much that people are able to do now, chich a few years ago would be impossible, thanks to faith, determination and medical progress. Being able to walk after something so traumatic is really wonderful and it must comfort you to know that you were able to do this, whith such a poor prognosis, it is also great that you are able to share this with us.

Bless you my friend. Amen, there is always hope with faith. I am so proud of you for not giving up and giving in. It is fantastic that you have regained your ablility to walk. You are now stronger than you have ever been, because you have God and faith. I know you have been through an awful time, and yet you are full of thanks and joy. whiteheather39, I really appreciate your will power and courage. Infact all of us have the guts to face any dificulty because no body is sure that what will happen next moment.So always have a hope in your life when there seems to be no way out.

This does really help. It's nice to know that miracles do happen everyday except no one really appreciates them. It's good to hear that you recovered so well. This story is almost exactly like my teacher's. She also broke her back in two places and was told she would never walk again. It took her a while but she's walking. These kind of things really strengthen your faith in god.
