Advice Please

What would you do if you're in the next city from where you live, you know no one you've come to the big city with your daughter to do your yearly daughter/mother bonding overnight shopping trip and now it's late you've gone to the casino and when you exit the building a male person who is obviously less fortunate than you are, but sober approaches you and tells you his car stoped and he needs a couple bucks for gas to get it to the nearest station, what would you do?

I wouldnt give him any money. Atleast over here i wouldnt because thats a major scam going around. If they cant afford gas, they shouldnt drive a car. Do what the rest of us do and take the bus. Many people are doing that because if you give them money to pay for gas it cant be just some change, you need to give them atleast 5 dollars (atleast im assuming that because i dont know the price of gas there) so if he gets that much from atleast 5 people everyday hes making 25 dollars a day for doing nothing.

Thank You so much for the response. Our gas is 89.9 a LITRE, so that's a lot and you're right if you can't afford to drive then don't. Thank You hellsangelus for you kindness in congratulating me. I really appreciate you !!!

I guess that it would depend on my mood at the time. I would say yes almost always if it were for food, but for gas...i don't know...maybe if he showed me the car and i checked that what he says is true i'd give him the money.

Thanks for the reply. With both of us being females, not a good plan to ask to see the car. I said I didn't have any money, but I always feel bad in case it's for real and someone needs an honest hand.

This is a tricky one I really do not know what I would do I guess I would take a look at the Person to see if he was sincere, and I would ask him to to go in his car and start it up to prove it to me. Of course I would be quite a few steps away from the Car. If the Person seemed suspicious to me I would have gone back in the Casino and stayed there for a while till I would have thought the Person had gone.
