I usually have no choice but wait until the last minute. I finished writing a short story for a magazine competition last week. The deadline for submissions is the end of October. Here I sit on mylot, knowing that I need to edit it. I will probably wait until the day before and pull out my hair and ask myself "why, why did I wait?".

when i get a deadline i start right away so as to meet the specified period.its not always nice when you wait till the last moment just bcos you know oyu could finish it off cause you might eventually run out of time or get to make some mistakes.by the way you wouldnt also have the time to go over what you did so its probably best if you do it while there's ample time

It depends on the kind of work. Sometimes there are things that just fall into place when deadline is nearing. In other instances, you finish it out as soon as it's given to you. I have no problem with deadlines because I worked for a newspaper for 10 years. There, everyday is a deadline. It was a good experience as it taught me a lot about discipline and conditioning my mind about the work to be done.

I always get started right away. For instance, when I took a Human Relations course a few years back, the instructor told us about our final project. I got started on one right away. By the time we were to hand them in at the end of the course, I had completed 4 projects.

Yes, close to it. I remember pulling an all nighter writing a 20 page paper in high school.

I have tried my whole life to overcome my tendency to be a procrastinator, but I still suffer from it. Historically I have tended to get an early start toward a deadline and then get overly comfortable, thinking, "Oh, I've got plenty of time," and then all of a sudden it's the night before my deadline and much midnight oil is burned.

I am definately the type of person that waits until the last minute and I hate it. Even if I say i am going to do something earlier it still ends up getting finished at the last minute

It depends, it depends on the work I'm doing... if it's easy, I will start it on the first day but slow it down on the next few days but I will see to it that I will finish it before the deadline. But if it's the kind of work that is really huge work, then I need to start on the first they and keep busy doing it until I finished it even the deadline is far.

I usually start right away and then end up putting it off and finishing it up right at the last minute.

Unfortunately for me I work better under pressure and for some reason it takes me until the last minute to get motivated and inspired!
