i dont understand. when i was single, i used to receive strings of flowers and gifts. my room was practically a flower shop each valentine's day. well, that was back in the days when i was still single.
now, since i had myself a boyfriend, valentines had been monotonous. i cant expect to receive anything, not even a piece of candy. i'll most likely receive it from a coworker or a friend, but not from my girlfriend.
the thing is we've gotten so comfortable with each other that no day is so special than our days together. we only need to be together and everyday is valentines day already.
but still, it would make a girl feel nice to be treated like she's being courted again right? *hint hint!*
received any gifts today? anyone?

It's funny, I have never really received much on valentines day. I am not a very social person, and I seem to be looked over in a crowded room. My boyfriend doesn't do stuff like that unless he knows my sister will be coming around, then he would look like a jerk for giving me nothing. One time I got an email card the day after Valentines day. I have never been told I am a b*tch, or have family members telling me I have a bad personality.
I have always been the person people walk pass without noticing I am there, and talk over me while I am talking. I think maybe I might actually be invisible.

I agree, familiarity really kills the excitement and sweetness sometimes.
We've been together for 10years and corny as it seems, every reason to celebrate anything, we do celebrate, even in small events or gifts only.
This valentine's day, we filed for half day so we can go to tagaytay for dinner at sonya's garden.
we can't surprise each other that much though but i do agree that a girl would feel nice to be treated like she's being courted again.

My husband gave me a really sweet birthday a couple of weeks ago. He put a lot of thought and effort into it. We agreed though not to buy each other gifts for Valentine's Day. We'll probably go out to dinner which will be nice. Also, I plan on making a yummy healthy dessert.

I think it would be better also that the two of you would give something to each other. Atleast in the future you can remember that this thing was given by my boyfriend during the Valentines day, and I give him this things too. Giving gifts can somehow make our relationship more exciting.
Yesterday, Valentines day, I am very much surprised that my husband gave me a very beautiful bouquet of red roses. Before he used to give me flowers but not that nice as the one I received yesterday. It makes me feel like a Miss Universe. I really like it. My gift for him is a card.

My husband gave a stuffed toy, which is basically will be enjoyed by our baby. Nevertheless, I appreciate, his little gift, for me (for my baby, actually)! and He still made me happy!
