Is anyone else having trouble with referrals?

I have been advertising as many places that I can on the net to get referrals here. I don't have the monies as of yet to really go hog wild, wish I could but...
When I logged in last week I noticed I had (1) referral! I was so excited. I clicked on it and went to the page that had their username. They hadn't set up a profile or anything yet, so I thought, they're new, I'll help them.
So I sent a friend request hoping that they'd accept me so that I could walk them through the process, etc.
Went back the next day and they hadn't even responded/commented on any discussions...A few days later I got referral number (2)...Again, I was a bit excited!
Needless to say, these people haven't done anything except sign up and disappear...lol. It's just not fair. Why do people do that?
Anyone else having the same happen to them?

Trouble with referrals? I didn't even have one.heheheh... Its really difficult to persuade others to join. It could be because they are also busy doing their own thing and don't have time to stay in the computer too long. I wish we could have more luck with finding a referral. Good bless!(",)

My referrals don't do anything either. I don't understand what would motivate someone to sign up and then not post a singe discussion or comment. Why bother signing up? I just don't get that.

That's for sure...I just can't figure it out. They must have read all about the site or at least enough of it to even consider joining. I think some may be under the assumption that all they have to do is sign up and they'll make money without doing anything...Who knows?

hmmm... i have the same problem.with freat difficulty i got one referal and that referal is not intrested in cents.badluck and i am not able to get anymore.

I've been able to get two referrals. One is active, one signed up, did a bit on their profile, replied to two posts and that's it. I haven't seen them for about 4 days or so. I'm not too worried, but I wish I could actually get more referrals that are active. I've done a lot of posting and what not but I can't really get any. My gf was my first referral and that was that, she's active. The second came from a posted link, but that as I've seen, hasn't done a lot of good.

I know what you mean, my friends won't even bother to sign up. They're too busy with their lives, or, I don't know...
I tried to tell them how great everyone is here and that they can make some money whilst having fun, but?
I've been trying so hard and will continue to do so. Thanks.

LOL that seems to be a big question here, I started out not referring others because I wanted to get as familiar with the system as I could so I could hopefully help those that I refer to be successful on mylot. My daughter has wanted to sign up for over a week and I just haven't gotten around to sending her the link :(
From what I've read here a lot of people have the same problem, people are basically lazy and don't want to work for their money. One man said he had 250 referrals before he got some that actually "worked".. We'll just keep this in our prayers and if it's God's will, it will happen.
