Is it good or bad to have curly hair?

Ever since I was a baby I had curly hair and because of it everyone was telling me that I am special.Thus,over the years I discover that the curly hair has only disadvantages and soon I started to curse my "beautiful" hair.What do you think?What's your opinion about this?

Like you I have had curly hair since a baby. Everyone always says how lucky I am, but I don't agree. I find it really hard to style it and none of the fashionable styles are for curly hair so I can't get any inspiration. I think I will have to end up putting it into dreadlocks as it is sort of afro in style.
