I live and i can suggest some top places in india which are good for vacation. sOme of the best place to visit in india are darjeeling,ooti, goa, etc. first of all your pocket will not be overburdened in india as you live in us and currency difference will help you to make more enjoyment in terms of finance, you will also love the heavenly atmosphere and the spicy food of india.

I think a great place to vacation with kids is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I have 4 kids and we try to go every year. We have alot of fun. There is plenty of stuff for the kids to enjoy. If you do go, make sure to check out Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & a Show. Its great fun for the adults and the kids. I know mine really enjoyed it. I don't know what your interests are, how much you want to spend and how far you want to travel. I see you are in Dallas. I can suggest a few places that are safe and fun for the whole family. Try Charlston, SC. There are beaches, historic downtown and plantations. Or Colonial Williamsburg which is always a great place to have fun with family. Tampa Florida is great too with the beaches, Busch Gardens, Sea World and many other things. Looking for something more tropical? A Caribean island perhaps? I would suggest the Virgin Islands, St Thomas or perhaps St Lucia. Or perhaps Cozumel Mexico. I do not suggest Cancun for the family. But all these places have resorts with lots of fun things to do for all ages. I can come up with more if you want.
