We all know that kids can say some pretty embarrasing things. Like yesterday when I took my 2 year old niece shopping. She loves Care Bears but can't say it. She says Beer Beer. So here we are in the store & she starts hollering "Want beer beer" I told her we would go to the toys in a min. But she still insisted that she wanted beer beer. An old lady walking down the isle hears her and says "Now there's a fine parent. Kids that little asking for beer. This world's goin to hell." Then a few months ago she had a doc appointment but her peditrican was out of town so she had to go to a reg doc that dont usally deal with kids. He kept telling her to lay down. She said "No" he told her agin. She rebuttled "I dont wanna" He repeted it again. She yelled "Im not gonna" He put his hand on her back to try & lay her down. She beggan screaming "HELP! HELP ME!" He tried to cover her mouth with his hand, which she bit him for. Then began to yell "leve me lone. Leave me alone!"
So what is something embarrasing that you have had your kid or someone elses kid do?
(F.Y.I: I rate each answer. If you just say "I dont know" you will get a -)

when i first started dating my boyfriend, my son was about 4 years old. It was the second time i had ever been to my boyfriend's house. he was making a dinner for his dad, mom, and her husband, my son, and me. we were all sitting in the living room. my son went up to my boyfriend and put his arm around him and said, "this is my daddy" and he was all proud of it. I was sure embarrassed. Everyone thought i told my son to do that, but i didn't. we hadn't even discussed yet what my son was going to be calling him.

Oh my god, that would be embarrasing. If that was the first time you'd met his family, they might of thought that you was looking for someone to support and raise your kid. I wouldn't even know what to say if that happened. But I bet they all got a good laugh out of it. Thanks for answering. +++

I can't help but laugh, those stories about your niece are so funny. but I know that those situations can be embarrassing too.
My husband was a big fan of the Chicago Bulls for a while during the time Michael Jordan was playing. When our youngest son was about 2 years old, he had heard about Michael Jordan alot and seen him on t.v. So one day my husband and I brought our son to a Burger King and we were all sitting in a booth eating. There was an African-American family sitting behind us and our son turned around to them, looked at the man and said "There's Michael Jordan!"
When our youngest son was around 2 (what is it about 2 year olds?) he was terrified of the sound of public toilets; you know the loud, whooshing ones. One time when I was flying back from out of town my husband came to pick me up at the airport and brought both of the kids. Our oldest had to potty so my husband brought both the kids into the restroom. Well, when our youngest heard the whooshing sound of the toilet my husband said that he went running and screaming from the restroom. My husband had to run out into the crowded hallway to retrieve him as our youngest continued to cry and carry on. You can just imagine how embarrassed my husband was; he later told me that he was afraid someone would misunderstand and call the police!

I was actually laughin out loud at that one. You know those ball play pins & big tunnel slides that they have at McDonalds? Well my niece climbed up the slides one day and wouldn't come back down. She just stood in the top smiling and waving at us. I had to climb up there and get her. Then another time she was up there playing, all the kids come down crying and saying "eww somebody peed up there". I was thinking "god please, dont let it be her" Sure enough, it was her. I had to apologise to at least 15 parents that day.

My kid who was a toddler was sitting in the little seat in the shopping cart when we reached the dairy department of the grocery store, when I went to get some milk, my kid tugs on the sleeve of an elderly gentleman standing there pondering the cheese. She said to him" hey mister don't eat cheese it'll make ya fart." I didnt get the milk, but I did break the speed of sound with that buggy, lol.

My 5 year old daughter tends to tell people when we are out either at a restaurant or in any kind of store that I snore. It is embarrising to me and I tell her not to say it but she does anyway. When a waitress told us she would be right back with our food my daughter told her "I certainly Hope so" she says alot of embarrising things but she is only 5.

I took my nephew (4 yrs) to the playingfield once. It was lunch time and we haven't had lunch yet. Next to the playingfield was a restaurant with some tables outside. While he was running around - with me chasing him and having fun he went near 2 people having their lunch on a table, totally stared at them, and then started shouting "Mummmmmmm chipsssss!!!!!!!" so obviously they thought I'm his mother and that he was hungry or something. So I said ok let's go home and eat our chips haha. I wanted to die at that moment!

LOL! When my cousin was about 3 or 4 he would tell people "my mommy dont feed me" (He meant to say that she didn't feed him or he was hungray again. Every single time he went in McDonalds he would tell the cashier that his mom dont feed him. You did some quick thinking in that situation! Nice job. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Hahahah thats is sooooo funny, embarassing that it happen to you but you gotta admit that kids are funny too you know :P I havent got kids of my own, but I remember I used to baby sit for my little cousins ehueuhehue and whats embarassing is that sometimes I could be talking about something with my friends or whatever, some secret or whatever, and then the next day the whole family will know about the secret, because he just blurt it out ahuehehehe but I cant blame him either because he doesnt know anything he jsut repeating whatever Im saying :P I admit that most kids are embarassing, because they are soooo innocent and pure that they can say whatever is on their mind :P but I also have to say that we all have been kids before, and without kids in our life, life just doesnt seems fun as much :)

this is something that my maternal aunt(the eldest) told us about our uncle(maternal). when my unclea was a little boy, he went to some relatives with my grandfather. there, he was given some money as pocket money by his aunt. on the way back home, he slept in the bus and my grandfather used his pocket money to pay for the bus ticket as he had no change. when they got down at the bus stop, he noticed that the money was misssing and started howling. the policeman standing a little distance away thought that my grandfather was some kidnapper and was forcing the child to go with him. my grandfather had a hard time convincing the policeman. he resolved never to take the boy somewhere on his own. LOL!!

According to my mom, when my uncle was younger, he couldn't say the word fire truck very well, it always came out fire and then a really bad word that rhymes with duck. He'd try as hard as he could but it just wouldn't come out right. Well, they were at a parade one day and of course, fire trucks were involved. He got really excited because he love fire trucks and began to scream it as loud as he could. Well of course it didn't come out that way. His mom got really mad at him because she thought he was doing it on purpose.

LOL, that's a cute story. Years ago when my eldest daughter was in grade one I got a rather embarrassing call from her teacher at school. The teacher informed me that my daughter needed a new glue stick however apparently my wonderful child had told the teacher we couldn't afford it! So the teacher was calling to tell me not to worry about it, but that she would pick it up for my daughter! I realize this stemmed from my little one asking me for something silly that she didn't need and I told her no, I couldn't afford it right now. Apparently she took this to mean we couldn't afford anything, lol. I was quite embarrassed trying to tell the teacher that no, I could indeed afford the glue stick and I would get it and send it in the next day.

When my younger daughter was 2 we were at WalMart getting some photos when the clerk asked, since it was after Easter, if the Easter bunny came. My daughter said yes, then proceded to tell the clerk that her father had a p****. If I had not been friends with the clerk, I would have felt like dropping through the floor. Luckily we had a good laugh.

Most of the time, I take my 4 years old daughter to the supermarkt. While I was busy to find foods that I need from my shopping list, she was also busy load the shopping cart with candy's. "she said she needs em".
Slowly, I put all the candy she took back on the shelf. She asked me not to put em back and began said "please...please". And I kept saying "no". Then with a loud voice (the supermarkt was crowded) she said..please, I'm starving, I haven't eaten that all day. Almost everybody starred at me. They might thinking I let my daughter starved. I immediately said to them that she just wanted the candy and I said "no" to her, that's why. Everybody smile and stop starred at me. Pheww...

I have a 4 yr old, and she has done plenty of things to embarrass me. Of course I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but any parent will tell you that it's pretty typical.

Yes, see that was my point. Every parent has been embarrassed at least a few times. But suprisingly I got several responses from people who just said "Well I take offense to that, only retarded kids are embarrassin" or "They dont know better, you must teach them not punish them" Im suprised so many people missed the point of this discussion. But, hey, at least you got it. LOL. Anyways, you get a + & thanks for takeing the time to answer.

When my daughter was 4 (and old enough to know better) we were in a store once and she blurted out in her loud voice, "Mommy, that lady has a really big BUTT--," she only got the first part of the word started and noticed my glare and quickly changed it to say, BUTTON. " A really big button, I meant mommy! On her coat, see?" Nice save, huh? I couldn't help but laugh!

well i dont have kids.i like them but from a distance.i fear of their spontaniety.well children yelling for the things they like is pretty common.if you just keep on trying to avoid that they will continue to take the advantage of this and things will fo worse when they make it a habit.so u just need not to care about the people around and do what you have to do!

Well, it can be hard to do what needs to be done in public. If you punish your kids at all, then someone could call the cops and you could be charged with child abuse. I usally going shopping with a friend so if she starts acting up alot, one of us goes to the car and sits with her untill she acts right. Alot of times I put back any toys that she was going to get if she acts up to much. Thanks for answering.
