I did okay naming my children but...I really had not planned on naming my oldest son after his Dad. I hated the name and still do. I refused to even consider his my husbands middle name. And even though my son shares the first name of his Dad, I have never called him by that name. I have always used his middle name. It's crazy when people call him by his legal name, it makes me laugh it just seems so weird.
My husband Carlos Alfredo
My son Carlos Anthony aka ANTHONY

I love my kids names and if I went back I would still chose the same names. But the important question is: do they like it?
I always thought that my kids would like their names. And they did up to a few months back. Well my son still had no problems with his name. But my daughter told me during the summer that she doesn't like her name. Now she likes is again just doesn't like the way I spelled it.
It hurt me a bit because when I chose that name I though it would be one that she would like. But hey... we don't go around with a crystal ball..

Yes and no. WE had two boys names picked out for him before he was born and I LOVE the name we picked out for him but I think that the other name we picked would have suited him better? Weird huh?? But no regrets, we love our Malachi!

We don't. And we cant think of anything either! Someone has suggested Mal (no way!) and Ki (again, no way!). I either call him Buddy or pumkin which I don't think either of them will stick!

My baby has two names. The other name was my favorite name and at the same time it is a Christian name. The second name is a combination of the name of my husband and my name. Of course, we like the name we give to our son.

HOw would you know? It's too late to change once the kid is old enough to really start showing personality and character. Picking a name isn't easy, but it's sort of awkward to change it, don't you think?

My hubby is of hispanic descent, I am white. We named our son a really hispanic name and low and behold, the kid has blonde hair, pastey skin, and blue eyes lol. So when people hear me call his name, they are shocked when they see me hold him. I've even been questioned if my husband is the father by a complete stranger at the doctors office when she looked at our papers! Genetics can be goofy, I love his name, it's very unique, but I think he might be picked on when he goes to school-but what kid doesn't go through that?

I am sure with our older 2. I loves the babies name until she was named. Now I second guess her first name. I end up using a nickname more than her real name & that bothers me a bit.

We picked our baby's name very early during the pregnancy. By the time we went to the first doctor's appointment, we knew we were having an Elliott Michael or an Abby Mae. By the time I was 4 months pregnant, the baby was commonly referred to as "Abbott." My brother was convinced that we should name the baby that if it was a boy. :)
Anyway, the week before he was born, I kept having this dream that we named him Evan Douglas instead. My husband didn't really like the name, but that is still what I kept dreaming. I finally decided that if we had a baby with blonde hair, it would be Evan. If the baby was bald or brunette, we would have an Elliott. My baby came out with a head full of almost black hair. He's an Elliott.
I think the name fits him really well. I think I would have had a harder time calling a blonde baby Elliott just because every Elliott I've ever seen or heard of has had dark hair. I think Elliott fits my little dark haired baby well though.

I like the names i picked out for my 2 boys. My oldests name wasnt decided on until I was in labor. As soon as i saw him, he fit the name and still does. My oldest is Brennen. My babys name seems to be very common now, but I still like it. His name is Kaeden. He was named after my mom, Kaye Danette. I never heard the name until I had him and I like the reason I picked it.

I know we chose the right names for our kids as I couldn't imagine calling them something different. I don't like the name we have picked out for the new baby and hoping that once its born I can convince my husband of them same. BTW what did you name your child? My daughters name is Brianna and my son is Brayden The new name we have picked out is Bryce and I like it. It's an ok name but its not really for me. Unless its a girl then I have picked out Brooklyn which I totally love it Bryce that I want to change!

My girls really suit their names which is good. However I wish that I hadn't chosen names that were so popular as I don't want them being around lots of children being called the same thing.
I also wish that I had put their middle names on their birth certificates, but they know them now so I guess it doesn't really matter.

My baby's name is Asa and I don't think I could have picked a better name for her. She looks like an Asa and it just fits her. I was really afraid I would get sick of it since I've never been able to hold on to a name that I like...I would always get sick of them after a few months and then years later I think about when I liked those names and think WHY?! they were so terrible! But I liked this name since before she was born and I still love it.

Yeah. When I was pregnant with my son, I spent a lot of time in baby name discussion forums. It helped me pick out a great name for our son and he also doesn't get mad fun of his name at school which is a great thing! When we were registering for his birth certificate, the birth registrar said my son's name sounds like a movie star :-)

I think I made a good choice when I named my kids. They all suit their names and I like hearing myself calling out their names. I'm happy, I hope they are too.

I like their names. the only thing is her name is Janet, just plain and I wanted the long name which is Jeannette. I didn't know at the time how to spell it. Other than that, I am happy with their names.
