My son who passed at 5 months old is 5 hours away from the mountains that we moved to. It was very hard to leave him there, but he is in a beautiful place surrounded by a lot of little boys his own age. His oldest sister is still living there while she goes to college. She brings him flowers for me and tells him that his mama misses him very much.
I know how you must feel being so very far away. But always remember that your son is always in your heart which is with you all the time. Don't be afraid to talk to him and tell him you miss him and love him. God bless and ciao for now.

Sassy,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain you must have felt and still be feeling. Remember that your little boy is not in that grave. He is now with the Lord Jesus and He is fine! You will see him again someday and that is the hope that believers have. He is watching you from above!
Hugs and God bless!

Ya know when I moved here to the U.S from Canada I wanted to exhume my sons body and bring him with us but the complications of bringing him across the border would have been too much plus he has cousins and aunts that visit his grave in fact one of my best friends goes there regularly and cleans off his marker as well as brings him decoration for certain holidays that she bought him which is so sweet and I just lvoe her for it....it is very hard to do (move away like that) but always know that its just his body there...not him..he's with you all the time..next time you feel a gentle warm breeze come out of nowhere, realize that its him givin you a little hug and saying "hi mom"....make sense?

It must be really hard for you but I think like your last responder said, it is just his body that is there and his soul and memories will always be with you. Try not to feel guilty for leaving him there, it's lovely that his sister goes and sees him and speaks to him. Good luck
