No you are wrong. It's extremly necessary to have a life partner, without which you are not living your life but you are only spending your life.

i dont fel it is necessary to have a life partner but it would be nice to have one. someone u can share with, laugh with, cry with, grow old with. I dont really agree that it is a burden. if u find the right person, there is nothing better than it

Marriage in India mean a permanent Bond. The bond is not only between two persons rather it is between two families. The judges in INDIA also feel hesitation to break this bond when the case of Divorce are filed in court. Do you like any such permanent bond.

You mean to say we should marry only by keeping our happiness in our mind. But in INDIA we have to get married for the happiness of our parents or other family members, which sometimes goes against our happiness. I can qoute many INDIAN movies which were the big hits which describe that we have to marry for the happiness of others. The examples are SILSILA, WARIS,VIRAST,BIN PHERE HUM TERE,PARDES,

I'm a happily married man for 12 years and I can say that a relationship with someone you dearly love is a feeling that I really treasured and made me contented with my life.

I think you are INDIAN and you know INDIA is such a country that does not provide social protection. We have to depend upon so many people for our daily needs and INDIANS think that the persons should belong to our family for our help as we can trust our family member more than any one else. So the best way to create permanent bonds between the people is marriage. Marriage is the solution to many of our social problems. But in countries like Australia where Social Protection is provided by Government itself, we must take the decision of marriage considering other factors but not the Social issues. But in INDIA, the marriage is almost compulsory only becauseof social problems whether you are Happy or not.

For me it I wanted a life partner...I wanted a family. But that is most certainly not what everyone wants. You have to decide if you want to share your life. It's all about how you want to live your life. For me I liked the comfort of having someone to share my joys and sadnesses. I need someone in my life to help me along my journeys. But there are other people that find that this could be an obstacle. Good luck! Hope you decide what you want in life!

I think it is different for all individuals. Some like to stay single but some like to have a partner.
I don't think it matters which you choose as long as you are happy with your life.

It depends upon the individual's liking!Having a life partner according to me has several advantages in your old age.Old age is the time when you long for some company and someone to share your thoughts with. When we become old most of us will ignore us!Not many friends will be with you till that stage of your life.I think if we choose a good life partner there is nothing more like it to cross our old age with ease.Correct me if Iam wrong!
