Most of you have probably heard of 'Take That', a British boy band that started out in the 1990's. There were 5 members that made up 'Take That' in the 90's, they were, Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Howard Donald. In 1995 after differences between band members, Robbie Williams left the band and went solo, a year later 'Take That' announced they were splitting up.
10 years later, the 4 remaining band members reformed 'Take That' and released their come back single 'Patience' from their new album 'Beautiful World'.
To be honest, That That never really did it for me in the 90's, I was not a fan of them at all, I didn't really like their songs, although some I could casually listen to.
I have enjoyed Robbie William's solo career and like the music he has produced since the 'Take That' split.
Today though, I really like them as they are now, the have matured a great deal and it shows in their music.
What's your take on 'Take That'?
Was you once a fan, now hate their new stuff?
Have you always liked them?
Or couldn't stand them and still can't?
Let us know your thoughts.....................

I have to admit i loved the original !Take That!
Robbie is a great performer seen him live and love his songs! sorry he's going through such a hard time at the moment! but he will bounce back.
Take that reformed i love there song Patience.
I think Take That were the biggest boy band ever if i had to choose Robbie would certainly come out tops

I was never much of a fan originally, it wasn't them, it was the choice of songs, most just wasn't to my taste, although there were a couple that I did like.
I think Robbie is a born entertainer, he is such a natural from the footage I have seen. I would have loved to have watched him live! I like most of Robbies songs, there are some i'm not keen on but most of them are worth listening to. I'm sure he will bounce back too, he normally does!

Personally speaking for Take That to make a comeback was a big mistake, lets face it they were a 'boy' band and there are far from 'boys' now and without Robbie Williams, it's like a chocolate fondant, without the fondant. Robbie Williams made the group, without him sorry but they are nothing. Look at Mark Owen he went solo as did Gary Barlow and they're careers were doomed. Robbie went solo and his career was sensational. I can't stand their music now. I used to really like their first music like Once You've Tasted Love, Satisfied, It Only takes a minute, those were classics. I can't seem them lasting and it will be a five minute wonder. In all honesty I think one of the main reasons they got back together was to compete against Robbie because there was bad feeling with Robbie left.

i never had time for take that, i found them silly, all hair cuts and dancing. Then i was persuaded to listen to a couple of robbie williams albums, i had to buy them lol.
I heard the single patience a few weeks ago and thought wow this is darn good. I was shocked to hear it was the same silly little boy band without robbie williams, so all i can say i think they have the potential to be a great band now. Pitty it took 10 years for them to do it
blessed be

I was 'too old' to be really interested in Take That other than for their music .. it's not unpleasant .. rather middle of the road and 'mumsey' I'd have thought ..I think I liked Robbie least .. but at least they are good looking boys who seem to live their lives reasonably decently .. so they are fairly good role models for youngsters ..
.. and they can all sing which is a definite plus .. and when they sing live they are in tune .. and so many of the bands/groups whatever they are called these days can't carry a note and sing dreadfully off key if they sing live ..

I have never really liked take that. I do think its unfair now that the group can get back together without their key member and makes lots more money and not give any to him. I think he should get some of it because the group would not have been so popular in the first place without him.

Yes Robbie was a key member but since gone solo, of which he has made a success of his self in his own way. I wonder though, if Robbie launched a solo career and Take That never existed would he have had the same success.
