As a roman catholic, I believe in heaven. Many of us doubt it for the reasons that, their is no scientific explanations about its existence and difference in religious belief. For us, heaven is the place to go when a good men die, and hell is the place where the bad guys will suffer for the rest of there life for their evil deeds on earth.

Isn't there a saying that if Science can't explain it then they'll leave it up to God ;-D don't know who said that but scientists have tried hard to study how the universe was created and how the tiniest particle ever existed still these questions are unanswerable... so does heaven exist?

I mean we can't generalize but I guess most of them don't. I've read an article saying "Science has always explained observations in terms of natural phenomena. Religion has always proposed supernatural explanation to fill those gaps where science provided no natural explanations." Science has always find ways of explaining things but do we ever run out of gaps? Even after building a research facility in space, science can't still explain a lot of things.

As a roman catholic, I believe in the existence of heaven. No science can explain because at this point, it is your belief that matters.

hi there! i am a born again christian and i don't really like the idea of my other friends of calling me a 'religious' one. i sometimes avoid discussions concerning belief and religions because it could just lead us to debate and i don't want it to happen since i know that debating on something is not good and there's a greater possibility of doubt/confusions in the end. but as a christian it is one of my duty to tell the goodness of the Lord and it also my little way of giving him back the glory and praises He deserves. i do believe that heaven exists as the Lord exists. finding evidences or as what uve said, scientific explanations, is i think could blow up our mind. God is beyond compare and no one can fathom his power. Faith helps us believe that heaven does exist. I think almost all of us came across to read the bible and it states there even in the first verse of the first chapter in Genesis that in the beginning God created heavens and the earth, so i think for me that is more than enough.

Most born again christians i know were religious. And as what I think about you, you are one of those. If God created Heaven and Earth, where He lived before He created heaven, His Home? I guess Heaven exist first.joke :) Its natural for human to ask questions or look for evidences to find answers to out confusions. But your right, God is beyond comparison. No one can question His power. Faith and trust to Him is the only sulotions to all of this questions.

If heaven exists where is it? In all of our scientific investigations we have never found a place that could be heaven or evidence that something exists in another dimension that could be where heaven is.

If heaven does not really exist, where will we go when we die? If you don't believe that there's heaven, it just mean, you don't believe in God. Because if there is God, there is heaven where HE live. how can you explain the existence of human being and other living things on earth? Who created the universe?

I'm also a roman catholic and strongly believe in heaven. Being raised in a christian country, our belief is the foundation of our every actions. It helps in a way that we are acting according to the commandment in the fear that we may end up in hell once we die. For me, it's better to believe that there is heaven, and in the end if there's none, there's nothing to loose. Rather that believe that it doesn't exist, and end up there is heaven, you will be forever regretful.

Maybe your right, their is nothing to lose in believing in heaven. You mark an end point to this discussion. I will forever carry that logic in my heart and mind. thank you nicagose.
