I never read harry potter but from the movie I can tell that the book is a lot better than eragon.

Haven't watched either of those so cannot help you....from the outside Eragon looks a bit like Lord of the Rings but for kids, so I might like that one better.

harry potter is WAY better than eragon. read the books and also watched eragon the movie. i didn't like the movie. it doesn't have the same 'magic' as harry potter movies. same with the book.
