I'll do anything to save my spouse or a family member. If it isn't your spouse or family you don't want to donate organs to, then to whom will anyone donate to. These are people that are your loved ones and the closest to you.

If it is for my brothers, husband and two children, I will surely do it. Love is very strong and it gives you strengh to save your loved once. God helps those who help others.

It is certainly something I would do. I carry a donor card as I think once your life is over it is great for someone else to benefit from any of your body that is still working. I would donate to many of my family and friends if it was possible.

I've already signed up for donation. I believe in second chances in life. Specially when I'm dying, they can use my remaining workable organs and give it to someone who has a chance to live if they were offered one.

I think it depends on the organ and whether or not you have a "spare". For instance, my Mother, just this past summer donated a kidney to her brother. Since she had two kidneys it wasn't much of an issue, although she did have to go through months of medical testing to make sure she was healthy enough to be an organ donor. Now if you're talking about a heart or an eye, I think you're going to have problems. Not due to selfishness so much as the medical implications and danger to the donor.

red traffic signal - When red traffic signal is lighted up in my family's health and they need an organ from me, I think I would donate it to help them recover.
I hate hospital, my wish is never go hospital unless it is extremely necessary. But if my family need a part of me to survive, I think I will say "yes". They are all important to me. I love them very much. So when they are facing critical situations, I am willing to help. Actually I am not so afraid of dying, but I am afraid of the physical pain caused by the moment of passing away.

It is possible to directly donate an organ to another human being. If the person you wish you donate your organ has the same blood type and antibodies, you can in America. if your wife needed a kidney and you matched, you could give her one.

Yes, I would no question! I am also an organ donor, meaning that when I die any organs they can use for anyone, anywhere they can have. I will not be using them anymore so why not!

I certainly would. Like many people who've already responded above, I'm also a registered organ donor so hopefully I'll be able to help people after I die.

I was raised part of the "Jehovas Wittness" religon when I was a child, we never celebrated Christmas and for some odd reason They didn't believe in giving blood. I found something better than Religon, common sense. I was "Raised" to believe giving your (Life Blood) was really bad. After I got older, I realized that Jehovas Wittnesses ere just as rediculous as Yes, i'd give anything to a spouse or child if it meant having them in my life another day.

I'm sure that most people would donate an organ for their spouce. But it probably would not be feasable because of need to match. they need to be matched according to blood and cell type as well as size.
