Sleeping Through the Night

I had started another discussion (about feeding toddlers) and one of the responders mentioned that her 15 mo. old gets up in the middle of the night (for milk). It got me to wondering - how old were your children when they started sleeping through the night?
I had several friends recommend a book called Baby Wise...and it has some mehods you can use with your baby to help them move toward sleeping through the night. For one, you feed them after a nap, instead of feeding them to help them fall asleep. It was really helpful, and our daughter started sleeping through the night in her 7th week. Once in a while she'll wake in the middle of the night, I comfort her a bit, and she goes back to sleep.
I know some children sleep through the night earlier than others, but I think the methods in this book did help our daughter a lot. So, when did yours start sleeping through the night?

My son started sleeping through the night at 6 months, when he no longer got hungry in the middle of the night. I didn't use a book or anything, I just followed his cues. My sister was warned by a doctor to not use the book babywise since it has many false claims and some children have developed "failure to thrive" from it, so please research before you use this book, I'm not trying to slam you but hearing babywise makes me sick to my stomach http://www.ezzo.info/Aney/unsub.htm

I can't realy remember but i think my son started leeping through the night when he was about 3-4 months old. When he used to wake up instead of giving him milk i gave him a bit of water, not alot just about 20 mls and hed be out for the rest of the night. He is almost 14 months old and occasionaly he'd wake up for a bit of a cuddle just for him to know that we are still here..

Both of my daughters were sleeping through the night by the time they were 6 weeks old. I can't think of anything that we did differently to get them to sleep right through, we were just lucky I guess.

I have an 18 month old son and he still gets up during the night sometimes. Sometimes it's to eat (if he didn't eat enough at dinner) and sometimes it's just from a bad dream and sometimes he just wants to play. Some nights he'll be up every hour and other nights he'll sleep for 12 hours straight! And I've tried every trick and method out there, he's just a very stubborn boy that sleeps when he wants to.
