Inbox dollars - do not become a gold member!

I just wanted to warn you all not to become a gold member. I had $17 so I used it towards that thinking it would more than make up for it in time. I haven't received 1 cent from being a gold member. After you are a member they say they don't guarantee that you will make any money off of it. I like Inbox dollars but I wanted to warn you about the whole gold member thing.

I became a Gold Member back when the price was $13.00. I now have 28 referrals and am close to pay out. Yes, it has taken a long time cause I don't buy a bunch of stuff I don't need. I do a lot of the surveys. The sister site to InboxDollars.com is SendEarnings.com.

Thank you for the Best Response rating. I will be sure to let you know I reach cashout on these two sites and how quickly (or not) I get paid.

There are quite a lot of scams in the internet now. Since they are promising to pay sums much bigger than what one may earn from mylot, some participate in whatever services they may be offering yet such require some amounts for membership or investment. What happens later on, one will find that the amounts earned from them is nonwithdrawable. Another problem is, it appears to be difficult to run after these persons in order for one to have, in the least, the amount he has invested back. How they run away with someone else's hard earned money, though how little it may seem. Where are their conscience!

InboxDollars is one that is not a scam, though. Nobody gets their investment back in 2 weeks, but I have gotten back far more than the cost of the Gold Memberships I bought from them, and now get a little passive income every day. It is usually no more than a dollar or two, but that is still "free" money. Don't quit your day job, lol, but InboxDollars is NOT a scam.

What you're saying is nothing they don't tell you already. People should fully understand what they're agreeing to before going ahead with it. It's like an investment, you may gain or you may not. I'm wondering how long ago you became a gold member, though.

I became a member a couple weeks ago. They just made it sound so appealing like I would definitely see my money back. I guess I might at some time but I like some kind of immediate gratification even if it's 10 cents or something.

Bummer...I already upgraded to gold. LOL Just a few days ago. I have already been paid from Inbox previously but I figured it I upgraded to gold, I might earn a little faster. I guess I will wait and see. It might just take a little while to kick in.

I'm hoping that's the case but I've been a gold member now for more than 3 weeks and nothing. I definitely think they are on the up and up. I just don't think that the goldmember status is worth it. We'll see though. I could be wrong.

I am starting to wonder myself. I actually think I received more emails before I upgraded to gold. Have you seen a decrease in the amount of emails you have been receiving?

They haven't paid me yet. I think they have paid other people. I chose the gold membership which is $17 so I won't get paid for a while.

Yeah I learned that lesson myself. It didn't do nothing for me either but cause me to loose my money.

I'm a member of Inbox Dollars, but I'm greedy when it comes to my earnings. I don't like to upgrade. With what you just said made my decision even easier. It will take me a long time to get to the cash out at this site. So once I get 7 more dollars into my account, I'm just going to let it keep building.

I've been a Gold Member for like a year now and i receive earnings. I also receive earnings for a couple of them becoming gold members themselves.

Yes, under their old policy I paid $17 for one Gold Membership, but got back $15 in referral bonuses in a single day, although my commissions are not normally that high. I keep telling people it is not a get rich scheme, but a fun hobby, yes, and a bit of extra lunch money, too.

Although it seems that this member who started this discussion is no longer here, I would like to comment a year later, that this is incorrect information. I have belonged to InboxDollars over a year and bought several upgrades and have gotten back from them way more than I paid, and the program is still paying. It is not a get rich quick scheme and members need to read and understand the rules and follow them, but the program is legitimate and does pay. They stopped selling Gold Memberships last summer, but now everyone who reaches payout gets a free Gold Membership and free referrals.

I agree with to the fullest. Because like myself Ive been with them for over 2 years and a gold member for 1 of the 2 and I been paid, nor did I have ay problems with it. I feel all you have to do is check out your Current earnings and you'll see everything that you earned(KeyWord EARNED)

Glad to you your experience with them was good, too. I also belong to SendEarnings, their sister company and and they are legitimate too.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I just read that it's now free to be a gold member when you reach your first payout.

I think all the gold member thing was supposed to do is to get your checks processed faster and supposedly if they have members who nobody referred you can get money on that also. That hasnt worked for me. Ibox is definitely not the best site out there but they have paid me alot of money ove the past year so I will not quit them.

I don't know what you are talking about. They automatically upgrade you to Gold Membership now once you meet your first payout minimum of $25.00. I just made Gold Membership today so I'm excited I can get payouts weekly now instead of monthly! This must have been a thing of the past since this discussion was started a year ago?

Thanks for the warning, but I already have become a gold member. I've been a member for a few years and I have 23 referals so far. I guess it's not worth it but I do get a little money from it. I got a check from them in January 08 and I already have $4.18 in referal rewards so far. It's something.

Just an update on this issue. Gold memberships are now available after the first payout and you are automatically moved to a Gold membership. In addition to a referral bonus gold members also receive an extra bonus for search loyalty and double sweepstakes entries. Sign up here:
