I have asked this question before, but have yet received an answer that I can understand. Simply put, does anyone understand the color of our stars? What the colors mean? I received a white star when I posted my first 100 posts, now I'm over 200 posts, and it seems to be staying white. (It may be different now..I can never find out till I post something, what's going on with my "star" and the number inside it). Also, how does one delete messages? Even though I've read my messages, it keeps saying I have messages. How do I delete them, or at least mark them as "read?" Thank for any information about these questions.

The colour of the star isn't related to the number of posts you can answer (that number in brackets).
The colour is related to the number of postive ratings you get. The colour is determined by the number inside the star.

This rating is not related to your number of post, but your quality of posts. If you post good discussion or response, I am sure that there are more members would like to rate you and your rating can be increase.
Good luck!

I have heard that, the colour of stars which we visualise, are not their exact colours. The stars' original colours cannot be viewed from within the earth's atmosphere. To see them correctly, we need a teliscope, and also a lot depends on the speculations made from the outer space. I heard that, the colour we see of them, are just some false reflections, due to atmospherical dust particles.
