I am a 21 years graduate i m of a double mind that should i start up with a new Bussiness as i have no problem with fund Or should i do a job for which i will have to study more to attain a degree. I feel bussiness as good bcos we can have more of profits as compared to a job, but on the other side it is also very risky if it doesnt work out. While a job has a fixed salary with no tension of profits and loss.. And due to many other reasons i have a double mind. So u can help me out with all u r suggestionss and experience.. I would be glad for ur response

From my experience, here are the ff pros and cons in having a busienss and getting a job.
Business Pros:
you pick your own time to work
you get to decide how much your salary would be
your work would have more social events so that means you get to go out more and meet new people
No one is breathing down your neck and pressuring you to dothings you don't wanna do
Business cons:
You worry 24/7 whether or not something bad is gonna happen or not
You worry how to find new innovations to expand or keep your business going
You hadnle evrything, from getting the business permits to determining the wages for your staff, inventories, business plans, target....
You make a lot of sacrifices in order for your business to prosper
job Pros:
after the required 8 hours a day job, you're free to do whatever you want
you get paid the same amount every month
job cons:
you get paid the same amount of money every month
you worry whether you will get laid of the next day coz of your poor performance today
Your boss keeps breathing down your neck and you can't afford to hit him with a monitor
That's it for now.

i'm no graduate yet..i'm not even in college yet! but i suggest that if you have a good business idea, if you think it is feasible to be put up and can do you good, go for the business. but if you think your business wont turn out as good..then stick with the job. both have their pros and cons but any can be good for you if it comes out right. oh yeah, more study would be good. more oppurtunities for you.

Thanks for u r reply And i totally agree with ur point.. But there are a lot of other burdens for a bussinessman like profit and loss of the bussiness or liabilities of the bussiness , even the reputation of the business , etc

Hi,
I was also in same situation 4 month back.. but i started my own bussines..nd now going to expand it..if you have any bit idea of bussiness then u should start it..otherwise you could go for franchise also..which is most easy way to start a bussiness..i prefer it coz in bussiness u r owner or king..nd in job u still have a boss which ever post u may get..nd now a day its not easy to do a job .. if u want sucess u have to work hard in job too so why not in bussiness..

Yes it's worth to say job has fixed and certain amount to earn where as business is uncertain and unlimited. If you are trying for job, then it should be a good one with handsome salary, else setting up a business is good. However, you should gain some experience prior to setting up your business, i mean type of business,if required consult with some experts who can guide you properly. Make a market research. Select products. With a full proof plan, then take action, otherwise you will see the failure.

Though it is purely my own choice, I prefer business. I have about 5-6 years middle management experience when I left job and started my own business. I prefer business because I am a freedom loving person. In business you are free to earn how much you want with all your capabilities, there is no boss, no reporting like things. I am a little creative in nature and I want to make things. Tension if you say, that is more in business than jobs, but making your own business run is one type of challenge and you are the boss the brainpower to handle it. So business is thrilling but job is dull. If you take your tensions in business as daily challenges then business is far more interesting and you can earn much more from it than jobs. These all things vary from man to man view. You have to decide which is best for you. I have shared my own experience and hope it will guide you to decide. Experience makes man wise.

Simple analysis leads to the following results-
1- In business, there is no limit to much you can earn, in a job(no matter how high your post is) your income would be limited!!!
2- In business the risk factor is high, in job it is comparatively lower.
My ambition is to set up a business. Initially I would do a job, and open a side business............ when my business flourishes, I would leave the job and concentrate entirely on the business.

i was thinking of that same ordeal just last year after my graduation. there's really no safer grounds to take in this world that's for sure and you really have to risk, but one thing we can do is to play the game smart. i suggest that you start over by finding yourself a job, in this way, you can appreciate the hard work you've done with your education and at the same time, this is the best way for you to explore on new horizons which may help you find a good idea for business, not only that, by finding yourself a job, you can be able to save yourself some money which can also help you in the long run when you want to put up some business of your own. if you have already saved enough money, and you can spend by your own the things that you need, then that's the time that you can settle into business, because by this time, you are financially stable, and you are already mentally prepared on dealing with stuffs regarding this matter because of your work experience.

In my opinion you should go for the job first and stick there around 3-4 years, so as to get expierence from there Say, how to control management and controls over the employee and make most output (work) from your lower class members...As you succeed in doing this then you can go to launch your business..And I am sure you will succeed in that businesss..Remember that in business you get loss at first time So don't get yourself down... and after that you are going to make profit in that

You could always work in a permanat job to start with and then start a business part time in the evenings and weekends.
If the business takes off well then you can give up your job.
That way you wont risk too much money but can try out both options.

have you heard of rich dad poor dad? it a good inspirational book (note: inspirational) but please dont buy the whole series (I find the whole series of rich dad poor dad only as an inspiration, once you read the first book you should get inspired and proceed to planning your biz or financial plan dont buy the next book, you wont learn that much after the first one). I started first working to earn a capital for my biz. it depends on how can you handle stuff. some people are afaird to make a discision by themself and rather stick being an employee. some dont want to be boss around and want their own biz. for me its more of your atitude and personality. can you handle the pressure of owning a biz? or do you want to be boss around? which of the two will profit more will depends on you.

well if you got thmoney to start the buisness i would definitely go for it.i would take the risk than going for a monotonous job where it iwill always be the same routine day after day.it is indded risky when it comes to starting a buisness but tell me where there isnt a risk.so i would advice you to see that you go by your gut feeling and at the same time see to that you have a good educational background because that will really help you ouy in your buisness as well.all the best.

If you are to have a business, you must have passion for it. Otherwise, it will eat you alive in terms of finances, emotions, operational problems. You may think that you can own your time with a business but if you are to survive especially in the first five years, you may find that even weekends which are supposed to be for the family now become work days for you just so you can improve the business and increase its earnings.
If you opt to become employed, you have a golden chain around your neck. You get a lot of benefits like medical benefits, opportunity to travel without spending for it, lunch and dinner meetings charged to company, etc. Usually, weekends can actually be spent with the family and you don't have to think about the work in the office during these days. However, advancement might be slower and opportunities to exponentially increase your income are very rare.

I prefer being my own boss, but, I also believe that ALL of my jobs have given me the experience that I needed in order to run my own business. There are so many lessons to be learned that we do not learn from a book or a class.
