I love watching movies and there are some movies that I just can't help that makes me cry...Yes I'm one who will cry at the movie theathers or even at home if the movie touched me... Movies such as The Shawshank Redemption, Titanic, even the Elephant man were some of my favorites... Men will even shed a tear or two even if they trying to cover it up..I know there are some men out there that do:) So my question to you is what movie(s) really touched you so much that you shed a tear...Why was so special about this movie.... Mine was The Green Mile...directed by Frank Darabont who hooked up with Stephan King. Michael Clarke Duncan (John Coffee) who was convicted of a child murder, yet apparently capable of performing miracles, awaiting execution on the so-called "Green Mile". Tom Hanks plays the prison guard who forms a bond with the gentle giant, and amongst the many moments that tug on the heartstrings, it's the inexorable ending, as Duncan is strapped into the electric chair, which really opened my floodgate of tears... I loved that movie so much..

I rarely ever cry about things, but when I watched Antwon Fisher I cried throughout the whole entire movie. Just to see his struggle and all of the things that he went through in his life was just TOO much for me. I couldn't stop crying and believe me when I say that I won't ever watch that movie again (too sad). I also cried on Steel Magnolias when Julia Roberts character was all sick from her kidneys being so messed up. The only reason that I get so emotional about that is because I had a long bought of sickness from my kidneys that rendered me unable to care for my son for over a year. It was one of the most depressing times in my life. Other than that, I don't really cry about movies.

Wow I loved that film "Green Mile," I've read the book, too. You also mentioned another one of my favorites of all time, "Shawshank Redemption." "Titanic" made me get teary eyed for sure. One movie I remember I watched along time ago was "Sophie's Choice," well, I cried like a baby on that one...I couldn't even finish watching the movie, I had to turn it off. "English Patient" is a good one to have a kleenex box handy. "When a Man Loves a Woman" is a real tear jerker. Most Ralph Finnes movies are really sad, and that film Harrison Ford was in..oh, "Hanover Street", that was really sad. A couple of John Travolta films, like "Micheal," and "Phenomenon", and "Edward Scissorhands," and "Powder." Also "Schlinder's List", and "Les Miserables,". Ok, enough for now. I'll get sad just thinking of all these films. Thanks for the post.

I am a grown man that is not afraid to admit my complete emotional breakdowns watching movies...LOL The Green Mile gets me every time (I even cried reading the book). The Elephant Man is another that gets the waterworks flowing and most recently Finding Neverland (completely lost it on that one). Don't let all my freaky tattoos fool you, I'm actually a big softy at heart.

Before I even saw the image you had posted for this I was thinking the Green Mile. I just watched it last night, and it is by far one of my most favorite movies of all time! I'm glad you like it as much as I do. I'm going to watch Elephant Man, I have it on my computer, I just haven't bothered watching it. Tom Hanks, and just about any movie he's in are decent, to awesome. Shawshank is another good one, but I actually like Gladiator probably just as much. A sadistically sad movie that I'd suggest (2 actually): Pi - 2001, and Requiem For A Dream Both of them are by the same actor.

Oh there are so many more but I just can't think of them. My ex use to sit and laugh at me cause I would bawling away. He thought that was so funny. I'll come back and add some if I can think of any.

I used to make fun of my sister for crying so much at movies, but ever since I had my daughter, I can cry at commercials, so now she makes fun of me. There are actually alot of movies that make me cry but I would have to say there are two that are so bad I won't watch them anymore. One is Terms Of Endearment. I can actually watch all of that movie except the last 15 minutes or so because I just turn into a blubbering fool. The second is Deep Impact. It is a really good movie but there are a few scenes in it that I just can't handle watching so I just don't watch the movie anymore. OF course there are many that I will watch over and over again even though they make me cry. Here is my list of my favorite re-watchable tear-jerkers, in no particular order. Boys On the Side - the ending really gets to me Armagedon - again it is the ending Apollo 13 - I cry in multiple place but the ending really gets the tears flowing Beaches - again lots of places to cry in this one Dances With Wolves - one of the best movies ever made and it gets me crying every time I see it It's My Party - about a gay guy who has aids and decides he wants to kill himself so he doesn't suffer, but he decides to throw himself a party with all of his friends first. really touching and sad. Autumn In New York - there are so many reasons to cry with this movie. It is just so sweet and heartbreaking. I have seen all of these movies more than 20 times each and I still cry every time.

Ohhh Boys don't cry, I actually bought the movie due to catching the middle part of it on regular tv...I was like I gotta go buy it NOW!!!! lol That was a very good movie... I have to check out Terms of Endearment, I've heard that here a couple times....Autumn in New York was just as you say heartbreaking... Thank you for sharing and you know, since I had my son, I feel more emotional about things than I use to also...

I'm like the biggest sap. I cry over quite alot of movies. Sometimes even a 30 second commercial will make me teary eyed. Those commercials they have for shaken baby syndrome get me every time. The one that gets me the most I think is actually 3 movies.. the lord of the rings trilogy. No matter how many times I've seen it (and the bf is a big fan so I've seen it lots) there are certain scenes that make me cry everytime I see it.. even though I know that it's gonna turn out alright. Like when they are going to helm's deep and get attacked.. Everytime Aragon goes off the cliff I cry. My bf just brought home the movie "Nell" a few weeks ago. Apparently it's an old movie but I hadn't even heard of it until he sat down to watch it with me. That one had me seriously bawling.. not just crying but actually sobbing. Heck, I'll even cry over books.. lol..

Love Story, that should go without saying. Phoenix and Griffin because of what cancer causes, and the impact it has on people. Ghost, because loving someone and losing them, and never being able to see them again in this life is uteerly painful. Titanic, because of all the lives that were lost, and the fear the people must have felt being in that ice cold water, and only the people who "were something" had the option of the rafts. I know there are more, but I can't think of any more right now.
