a friend online

I have not experienced a healthy friendship till now on mylot... i have not talked to anybody yet... but let me hope to talk wid u if a get a chance!!

Yes I have talked to people all over the country. Most however, like real life, move on and I have not kept up. However when my first marraige broke up I begain to talking again and found a woman in the city I hoped to move back to. We talked through e-mails alot. She was about 300 mile away and so over a weekend I came to see her. We became very good friends and when I move back here...lovers.....and now we are married. The internet can be a fantasic place to meet people but it has it's problems. I lost my first wife because she found someone and had an affair. But it was meant to be so I think it all worked out.

I have a penpal in Australia - we've chatted on email for 5 years. We've spoken on phone twice. But we haven't met. I do consider him a friend, though.

I have 4 people I initially met online that I've met up with and I consider them all very good friends, even to this day. One of them myself and my partner are especially close with, and we try to go and visit her for a couple of days every year. This year we're spending Easter with her and her little boy. Another of the friends I met is now my husband to be. We met 4 years ago in a chatroom and we've been together for 3 years. Our wedding takes place in April next year. Yet another one is a guy who offered me a place to stay when I split up with my ex partner. He lives in Ireland and I've met up with him quite a few times, both in the UK and in Ireland. These people know everything there is to know about me and they're all very close to me in their own ways. it IS possible to make friends online and to actually meet them. Every one of them are what I expected and more. I'm very lucky.
