Chinese new year...

Today, we the chinese people will be celebrating chinese new year... it is a pig year according to the chinese calendar... i am just interested to know how people from different part of the world will celebrate it... please share it with us...

lingli_78.... Wishing you Happy Chinese New Year 2558. My town, Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia celebrates it with so many activity, such as Barongsai, Liong Dance, and many Red Chinese Lamps in the street.

I am in Australia and we don't other than the chinese community celebrate the chinese new year, I was born in the year of the pig and I am amazed how accurate the characteristics are of the chinese calender are..I am a very typical pig....

There will be a big celebration in China Town which is situated in Soho in London. I was born in the chinese year of the pig in 1971 and every twelve years the pig is celebrated. I am hoping that this year is going to be very good for me, because I have had a lot of bad luck. Happy Chinese New Year!!!!
