My last vacation was last August, I went to see my daughter and her family in Virgina, I got to meet two of the grandchildren I had never met because we lived so far apart.....Then after we were there for two days we had to make a trip to Flordia cause her step mother was dying...Since there was no love lost between me and the step mother I really didn't want to go....But my love for my daughter was greater than my dislike of her so I went..We had a great time the 14 days that I was there...
I would like to do it again this year cause I'm the only grand parnet they have left......I hadn't seen my daughter since 1989....So I was glad that I was able to go.....

My sons and I went to my mother's home for the first week in December. We live in Tx and She is in Louisiana; near New Orleans. We hadn't been there since the early spring of this year, so we were very happy to be able to visit.
We will be traveling to California the week after Christmas to visit my husband's family. Unfortunately he will not be with us as he is beginning a short deployment at the same time.

I visited my daughter in Michigan last fall. I got to spend a week with her and my grandchildren. Flew up there from South Carolina. It was great spending time with the girls I love visiting Mchigan. They took me to Holland to see a real dutch windmill and to watch the making of the wooden dutch shoes.

I've been to Overland Park, KS...but not to Wichita. My sister lives in KC, and we went to Overland Park to visit with an online friend of mine. All three of us went shopping. Great places to shop there, too.

We have been to Niagara Falls this past September. OUr friends from Holland came to visit and we took them to view the falls. It is a lovely place to go. Breathtaking views. Love the Maid of the Mist.

Our last vacation was a working one...we do it every year. We pack up the carports and boxes of books and stuff and head to Johnstown, Ohio to Swapper's Day. We attend a swap meet/flea market for 5 days. we stay in one carport that has a floor and set up a camp kitchen in one end. We take a solar shower so that we can stay somewhat clean.

Wow, that sounds like it could be interesting. I know I'd have a ball there going through all the stuff that people brought to sell or swap. Thanks for your response.

I visited Bangkok several times when I was working in Vietnam in the early 70's but never did get to Pataya. I have very sensitive skin so I stay out of the sun. However, Bangkok is an exciting city....I loved it, especially the food.
