we once found a womans handbag which she had left in a trolly at the supermarket and we did the right thing and handed it in.
also before i met my other half she was walking behind a man when a wad of cash in a gold clasp fell out of his back pocket, she could have kept it but she ran up and gave him it back, she was rewarded for her efforts.

Yes i did found a wallet that's doesn't belong to me. Good thing that the lost wallet belongs to my officemate. I found it in the canteen maybe she left it. I give it back to her.

I have not personally found a wallet, but I had a girlfriend that took a trip out west. I live in Canada and she was about 5000 miles away and she lost her wallet.
Before she could even call me to tell me I received a phone call from a guy that found her wallet. She had more that 800 dollars in it and not one penny was missing.
I feel that Canadians as a whole are very honest people and I have never known anyone that found anyone's wallet that didn't return it completely in tact.

I think that in the first moment i'd be tempted to get all the money and leave the wallet where it was, but finally i'd feel guilty so i would return it to it's owner if that was possible, and if not i'd give it to the police.

well, i've picked up a wallet before..and being the good, halo-ed person i am, i returned it to its owner..haha. but you know, its also hard to keep a wallet because of the temptation, the money you would get..but the downside is that you'll be guilty that you did that, and the person will be sad about it, and you'll get all sad too and..you know what i mean. :)
