My 7 month old has been eating some veggies since she was about 6 months. Lately though some days she just has no interest in solids, she just wants to nurse. And today i am trying to feed her carrots (usually her favorite) she is gagging and spitting them up, but still acting hungry. Is this something normal that babies go through? should i give her whichever she wants, breastmilk/solids, or should i try to keep her on the solids ?

when this happened to us we took them both to the health visitor and was told there was nothing wrong and its what all kids do. What we did at about this age was to puri the veg and give it to them as a drink it seemed to do the trick

They can get fussy time to time. If it continues, I would check with the doctor. A call should be okay, unless they want her brought in.

She may be teething. Often times when babies teethe, they temporarily loose interest in solid foods. I think the general ache and discomfort in the gums makes them feel a bit under the weather, and not much like chomping on a spoon.
It may also be a growth spurt, which would explain the increased desire to nurse. Again, once the spurt passes, she will likely regain interest in foods.
Or, it could just be a sort of mini food-strike. I know my 7 month old has days where she LOVES her food, and days where she wont even open her mouth for it. Just like adults, their mood changes with the wind!
