I would bet that if you go to Amazon and search for "Linux for Dummies", you'd find it. I realize that it's not something online, but I find that plain old paper books are sometimes handy, especially if something goes wrong and you can't get to a website for answers, a book is still there and you can fix the problem.

I found it on Amazon - just go to www.Amazon.com and at the top of the page enter Linux for Dummies and you'll go right to it. I haven't been here long enough to copy and paste the address - sorry - I think that's a silly rule of mylot! hehehe

I also use MS OS, but believe me, once u get da hang of Linux..........u will be amazed by da amount of power it delivers to ur system.......n btw, Linux is the only OS that uses the 100% power of ur processor in useful ways.........unlike Windows which uses only 70-80% n throws away the rest.......
If u r dat uncomfortable wid Linux, then u better try out ELX BizDesk.......ver 4 of dat is free........Knoppix is also good........but u won't learn da installation proc.
If u r scared of damaging ur PC due to any mistake u might make, then just install VMware workstation.....it is given freely........set up a Virtual PC in ur physical PC, install anything without risk of damaging ur computer.........
If u have any queries, post them in 'PC Tweaking' discussion.........I'll be glad to help..........:)

The best way to learn linux is hands on , u need to install a distro of linux on your system read up on it on the net join the forums post your problem and others will help u how to reslove issues one by one and slowly u will learn, the best source to learn linux is jus online searching the net for articles and how to ,but u won't learn unless u try everythin u read so that is why i say it is good to be hands on.
