I've been here less than a week, and I've noticed that a lot of people have stars next to their names. How do you get the star, and what does it mean?

I am new here too, but here is what I have picked up so far: you have to have at least 100 "rating" which basically comes from how many replies and topics you have, but also from how in depth they are. Once you get over that, they will update your star rank daily, I think. The higher the better, although I do not know what the highest star rank is.

The star is your reputation here at mylot. They range from 1 to 10. YOu get a star after you have posted 100 responses. YOur at 91 so your alomost their to getting yours. The rating system and the quality of your response is how you get the higher star numbers. Just rememeber its about the quality of your responses and discussions not about the quantity. Welcome to mylot and I wish you the best of luck here. :)

It's your user rating. When someone gives you a positive rating or you get a best response your user rating goes up. I believe if you have valuable input to a discussion it goes up too.
