I was recently given 1000's of beads by a friend whose mother had passed away. Many of the beads I have many uses for already, but some I am clueless. I have "star" shaped beads in many sizes & colors (she says her mom made x-mas trees & ornaments?) The other type is "tri" shapd (again for ornaments?)
HELP PLEASE!

Oh you know what I have some of those patterns laying around here. Most of them I picked up at Hobby Lobby, Jo Anns and Micheals they are those little sheets that have free ideas on them. I will search around if I find the patterns I will email them to you.

Thanks so much that would be super! I've been sick the past couple days, everyone was probably wondering what took me so long to answer. If you do find them... kbopinion@aol.com Appreciate it.

Oh wow! Those beads sound like so much fun!
I would check out some craft sites and resources to get ideas for projects. www.craftster.org is an online crafting board and they have whole sections on beads and beaded projects. There is this new thing where people melt plastic beads in the oven to form bowls or other things.
Fire Mountian Gems (www.firemountaingems.com), is an online bead seller, but they also have tutorials and lots of ideas to make some really beautiful jewelry.
One project I did with star shaped beads was to buy a plain tote bag from the craft store, and then sew on the star shaped to make a design, or just a random pattern. It's a differnt use for beads, and a cheap way to make a fun decorative bag for yourself, or a gift.

Could any of them be used to decorate hairpins or hatpins? Those are often very easy to do and have a high resale value. How about those bag charms the kiddies hang on their schoolbags? those would be good with stars on perhaps?

I ahve a business of making beaded accessories. it is very easy to start and to sell. I make sets of earrings, bracelets and necklaces out of beads and cultured pearls. I earn a lot from it.
