Do you harrass food service workers?

I don't do things like that, but the person who posted that clearly stated that it was a joke. I couldn't do something like that for fear of having my food spit in!!!

I just read them NOT FUNNY! I work in a restaurant it is an upscale restaurant and we do not get a lot of this but it does happen from time to time. It is not funny I always just hang up but I do have better things to do then deal with this sort of stupidity. Thank you for the post excellent!!

No, it's not funny! I have worked in fast food and truck stops & I have one word for the a**holes who pick on others, especially if they fix your food-revenge! The cooks do get it. I have seen the cooks spit on food, suck on bacon before putting it on burgers, one cook even wiped her butt with a piece of steak because the oreder was returned several times. You do not want to piss off the cooks!

i've never made fun of service people, but i've chatted with them. a good many of them are nice and have good senses of humor. there's been a few times where i've gotten a laugh with my pizza :) and the guy went away chuckling...

Oh I'd never mess with a pizza guy, probably because once upon a time, my husband was a pizza delivery man. A lot of these places are understaffed, so they have a hard time as it is. If it's someone that I plan on making my food, I can tell from experience that you don't mess with them. Cooks will spit on your food, waiters will tell them how horrible you are, etc. Not saying it's like that at every joint, but I can tell you I've known people who have worked in the food industry-for every prank you have to pull on them-they have more pranks that they do with your food!

I do not play with people that are making my food. I wouldn't even think about it! If it was a close friend I would probably think it was funny, wouldn't you. If you are messing with some one you do not know, well, that's just wrong. I wouldn't want my food to be tampered with.

I wouldn't want someone to come into my shop and start making fun of me, even if this was a joke, it's not really all that funny when you stop and think about it. There are crappy jobs in life and someone has to do them, that's the way I look at it. I tip my pizza guy well and he knows it; my food gets there quick, it's still hot and I know the order is going to be right.

Nobody would want to be treated that way, including the person who wrote that discussion/joke. There is no way I would ever treat someone who was going to be making my food that way. I would never treat anyone that way. It isn't the slightest bit funny.
