I find that many of my clients have problems with products and services but do not know how to handle them to get the desired results. It can be difficult to know who to contact and what help is available. We often don’t think of these problems till we encounter one ourselves. Do you know how to write a letter to a company to complain about a service or product? I don’t mean just a plain letter but one that will get their attention.
Did you know that the government puts out a book that will help you do just that and will help in many other things. It is filled with helpful tips. It is free and is updated each year. For the past few years, I have ordered them for my clients. I just sit a stack of them on my desk and in a day or so they are gone. It is filled with information. On everything from:
How to Purchase a Car
Preventing Identity Theft
How and who to contact at a specific company
Local protection Office
How and when to contact Better Business Bureau
How to be a smart shopper
How to purchase a home
Understanding credit
Resolving problems after a purchase
This is just a small sample of the information that is available. This is a nice big book and no home library should be without one. The new 2007 edition is now printed and ready for the consumer.
With this link, you can order up to 10 copies. To order your go here

I do hope everyone can find something that will benefit them no matter where you live. I know that the government addresses are not going to help people outside of the US but I think some of it can help others. The entire book can also be downloaded with adobe reader online for free at this site

I was aware of consumer reports but I was not aware of this website that you mentioned. I am definitely going to take a look at this website and check it out too as I am always looking for solutions to problems or advice on purchasing certain items that sales people try and rip us off on. Thank you for sharing this website with all of us.

Thank you so much Annie - ordered one for myself and one for several of my friends. You are a true gem! The gem that I chose for you is a rose quartz. It is the stone of love, and I don't know of anyone that has more love for humanity than you.~Donna

This sounds like a great reference book to have around for general information as well as how to effectively handle a problem. I will definitely order ten copies to share with family and friends. Thanks for sharing this info.

Another great site for consumer feedback whether it is a compliment, suggestion, or a complaint is
HTTP://WWW.PLANETFEEDBACK.COM
I've used this site a number of times and most of the time, it bypasses the customer service department and sends a letter straight to their superiors. I've gotten great results using this website.
