Why did the terrorists attack the World Trade Center on September 11th?

My guess is that the Terrorists who attacked America on September 11th had done so because the emergency calling number in the US is 911 and they wanted every citizen of the US to be reminded of the tragedy anytime they dialed the number 911. If any of you have any more thoughts please share the same. It was indeed a dastardly act on the part of the terrorists.

I had never thought of it before but why they attacked on that particular date is quite relevant I suppose. Although if you believe the conspiricy theories then it wasn't terrorists at all! It was very sad indeed.

I agree with you. I think they chose that day because we use the 911 call for an emergency. I will never forget that horrible day as I and the world looked at the news. It could happen again anywhere in the world.

I never thought about the emergency phone number connection. I have since it happened be so horrified by it that all I think about is the loss of lives and the possibility of it happening again. That is interesting though and possibly true.
