I love the talents at Miami Ink! My oldest daughter will turn 18 at the end of March and she has decided she wants a tat also. I don't have issues with it, but I've told all of my kids until you are 18 years of age you cannot get one. At that point I think you can think for yourself and realize the consequences of getting something so permanent. I'm not saying it's a bad thing.. just that many people tend to immediately think a person with a tat is bad or of lower class.
So she's been looking around as to what she wants to get and has had some different ideas. I think she might be surprised too when she realizes how expensive they are to get! LOL But I personally can't way to see what she chooses.
I'm sure my parents will be the ones that go nuts on the whole idea. Oh well. She's 18 and now an "adult"... not anything I can do even if I wanted to! LOL
I personally don't care for them on women but I don't judge those who have them. I just don't like them for me. I love tats and think they can be so very awesome and artistic. I especially love the ones that have meaning and thought behind them. Originals that not just everybody has.

Just be sure that it is something you really want and, most importantly, research the tattoo shops and artists in your area. Physically go to the shops and take a look at their portfolios. I am adding a website you should check out that'll really help you see the difference between good tattoo work and truly awful tattoo work.

I have 2 tattoos and will definitely be getting more in the future. You need to make sure that the tattoo you get is something you could see yourself still liking in 50 years.
